I think the making of the hose is the most important part, which was not shown

The plumbing fixtures is what I was interested in. I had it figures out but didn't include a shut off valve on the 5 pounder side. SO thanks for the close up on how you did all that. Also on the air bleed, I was wondering when you knew when to shut it off. Some people go by weight. But I like your idea of going until you see the vapor.

This tutorial could have been really helpful....but as it is, it has little value without thoroughly explaining and showing the details of the custom transfer hose and the POL to POL connectors. That aspect was unfortunately skipped.

Very helpful. What adapter/hose setup do you recommend?

Need to shut the valve off and bleeder screw immediately after gas starts coming out in liquid form. Overfilling can cause explosions if was to leave set in the sunlight

I had the problem of nothing going in the 5# tank and reading the comments I noticed other guys having the same problem. What I did to solve it was, I looked closer at the hose and on one of the adapters there was a little ball check valve that I took a finishing nail and dug it out of there, tried it again and it still didn't work. I then swapped the ends of the hose around and it worked fine, so there must still be a check valve in there somewhere. In hindsight I'm not really sure I even needed to take that ball check valve out, but whatever, it works now. It took me about what he says here about 4 minutes to fill. I also didn't put the 5# tank on the ground, I just put it on a table that was about 10" lower than the 20# tank. I used a hose with a male propane tank fitting on one end (the female large tank fitting will also work fine) and a male 1# bottle fine thread on the other, and on Amazon I found a female 1# fine thread by male propane tank adapter (I hope people can figure out what I mean lol)

I can see where you have a POL to male 1/4" NPT adaptor off the 5 pound bottle. Then u have a 1/4" female NPT coupling off the tank adaptor, but I can't tell what else you have between that and the small hose end fitting. Also what are u using for the small hose end fitting. Can u list the parts u used to make the connection?

how long does it take to fill the 5 lb tank? because i saw a video of one other guy and it took him like 4 to 5 minutes. In your hose do you have any fittings which have the super tiny hole for safety or did you drill it out larger.

Great video! Can you give me a link to a hose I can buy so I can refill my 5 lbs tank with a 20 lbs tank?

Where did you buy that 5lb tank from? I can only find the taller version if that 5lb tank. Thanks
@jasony724
Uhm yeah the hose adapter info would be great
@jaydavis226
This vid is pointless w/o the hose. The GP knows how refill proepane, it's the adapter that we need.
