Great video do u know the dimensions of the metal u used and how were u able to get the bend in it for the side piece ?
@BCBackwatersКүн бұрын
@@trod8271 the metal was about 2” wide and 30” long and about a 1/4” thick. Unfortunately I don’t know how the side pieces where bent it came with the boat as a single piece and I cut it in half to create two spots to mount lights.

You’re using the wrong wood. It’s not a good fit. You might want to think about cleaning the boat before making videos.

I can see where you have a POL to male 1/4" NPT adaptor off the 5 pound bottle. Then u have a 1/4" female NPT coupling off the tank adaptor, but I can't tell what else you have between that and the small hose end fitting. Also what are u using for the small hose end fitting. Can u list the parts u used to make the connection?
@ginginthing6 күн бұрын
The plumbing fixtures is what I was interested in. I had it figures out but didn't include a shut off valve on the 5 pounder side. SO thanks for the close up on how you did all that. Also on the air bleed, I was wondering when you knew when to shut it off. Some people go by weight. But I like your idea of going until you see the vapor.

The use of tape instead of screws depends on the roof surface.
@BCBackwaters5 күн бұрын
@@larrywiddis470 Absolutely it does I’ve seen this method used on both fiberglass and aluminum. Also in 36 degrees Celsius but not sure how it would hold up in desert applications.
@lawrencewiddis24474 күн бұрын
@@BCBackwaters having a rubber roof precluded my use of an adhesive but should I install again on fiberglass or metal I’d use 3M without worry. In the first days of solar lots of RVers were worried about panels blowing off. I’ve yet to see a panel on the side of the road or viewed an RV missing one.

A great and elegant design to do this. I noticed you had another person to help with moving the end of the bed into the locked position. Is it easily manageable for one person to do this?
@BCBackwatersАй бұрын
A little bit of back and forth with one person but definitely manageable. I would say if it is difficult for someone I would suggest adding a hand crank on the wall for support.

If that winch is necessary to lift it then the wall mounts are not strong enough (they will break due to fatigue at some point, even if it worked so far). Need beefier metal there. But thumbs on all the other thoughts.

You need a hose with a tank fitting on one end and a fine thread fitting on the other for the 1# bottles. Amazon has them, but you may need to buy an adapter to get the correct thread that you need

The average home owner will take a long time to go through 6-10 tanks of gas. If anything like a car and it may not be, but you should vary the speed and load with very short runs at max (3 seconds) under load for the best results. Yes I know some will say the only proper way to do it is to follow the manufacture's instructions. The manufacturer has to allow for all situations, but what about a contractor that has to go full out from day one? That may not be the best thing to do, I can't say. I simply went easy on my Husky for the first few tanks and then for some short bursts, opened it up. The saw has been perfect for a long time.
