I recently saw that book by shaykh Munajjid. I appreciate your honesty in this talk. In saying that I must also give credit to the brothers asking pertinent questions. May Allah swt increase your reward for your efforts. May Allah swt guide is all to the straight path, Ameen.

As salaamu alaikum. I'm a revert to Islam who is struggling with my Islam. May Allah guide me and us all. Personally to me it sounds like a time issue. Because we are so geared around the dollar and being dollar slaves it's near impossible for Muslims to just learn. We have school, College and uni then need to worry about survival (work and money). What Muslims need to do (IMO) is to invest in property IE abandoned buildings, churches etc with a few families. Open it up and start to teach there and not just 1. We need many of these all over the western world. Places where young people can just eat and study without having to pay much money. So 2 or 3 families would live together in the building and then slowly start taking in more people over time to just learn about the deen. I'm not sure the solution but we need to find something where people can just learn without having spend 8 to 12hrs working, another 6 to 8 sleeping. Which means only 8hrs left to learn? This is not enough... to much distraction taking place. We need to somehow facilitate Islamic education from well versed brothers and sisters that everything else is taken care for them and all they have to do is learn and study.

Countering secularism; that is the separation of Deen from life, necessitates explaining how Islam organizes every facet of life in a comprehensive manner. Muslims in the US, UK, and the West must have the same unified global political vision as the rest of the Muslim Ummah.
