Rabbi Elhanan Beck has lived outside of Israel since he was three years old, this is despite the fact that his family lineage in what he calls “Palestine” goes back seven generations.
Beck stands with what he says are the vast majority of Orthodox Jews who strongly oppose Israel. Their reason: The Jewish religious principle that Jews need to live in exile until the “peaceful” arrival of the messiah, and because of the “oppression” and “brutality” that Israel is built upon.
In this in-depth interview Rabbi Elhanan speaks about Judaism, Israel, Zionism, and 'red cows', and he reacts to what he openly calls Israel’s “genocide” in Gaza.

If there are Jews against the state of Israel, they are not anti-Semitic. They are the same people whose families suffered through the horrors of the holocaust as well.

SALaM, SHLAMa, SHLOMo, SHALoM, NAMASTe, PEACe. The Star of David, The Crucifix And The Crescent, Are Found In Hinduism. Hinduism Was The Largest Monotheistic Religion In Ancient Times, But When They Added The Trinity And Polytheism, The Religion Declined. Then God Sent The Zoroastrian Avesta Leading To The Buddhist Canon, Both Added The Trinity And Polytheism. Then God Started The Abrahamic Family With Psalms, Torah, Gospel & Quran. Hinduism Vedas = Monotheism Guru Books = Trinity & Polytheism. “There is no image of Him” (Svetashvatara Upanishad 4:19). A Human Never Became A God & God Has No Image, No Statue...!! In Every Religion Scriptures There Is Only One God....!! Concept of God in Hinduism: Indeed, most Hindus would attest to this, by professing belief in multiple Gods. While some Hindus believe in the existence of three gods, some believe in thousands of gods, and some others in thirty three crore i.e. 330 million Gods. However, learned Hindus, who are well versed in their scriptures, insist that a Hindu should believe in and worship only one God. We can gain a better understanding of the concept of God in Hinduism by analysing Hindu scriptures. #UPANISHADS: The Upanishads are considered sacred scriptures by the Hindus. The following verses from the Upanishads refer to the Concept of God: "Ekam evadvitiyam" "He is One only without a second." [Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:1]1 "Na casya kascij janita na cadhipah." "Of Him there are neither parents nor lord." [Svetasvatara Upanishad 6:9]2 "Na tasya pratima asti" "There is no likeness of Him." [Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:19]3 The following verses from the Upanishad allude to the inability of man to imagine God in a particular form: "Na samdrse tisthati rupam asya, na caksusa pasyati kas canainam." "His form is not to be seen; no one sees Him with the eye." [Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:20] “They enter darkness those who worship natural things (for e.g. air, water, fire, etc.). They sink deeper in darkness those who worship sambhuti i.e. created things (for e.g. table, chair, car, idol etc.) (Yajurved 40:9) Then God Started The Abrahamic Family With Psalms, Torah, Gospel & Quran. Vedas [Hindu Bible] Mentions Adam, Abraham, Moses & Noah, Within Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Hinduism. Adam was Swayambhu Manu (4000BC), Cain was Indra (3200BC), Noah was Vaivaswat Manu (3000BC), Abraham was Rama (2100BC) Moses was Krishna (1500BC), Mohammad Was Mahammada. Origins in the Indus Valley. Noah Family: Vedas: There Is Only One God, There Is Only One Source, There Is Only One Supply. Avesta Zoroastrian: There Is Only One Wise God, Whom Is Uncreated. Buddhist Cannon: There Is Only One God, Whom Created Good & Evil. Abraham Family: Torah [Old Testament]: The LORD is our God, the LORD is one. Gospel [New Testament]: I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me. Quran [Last Testament]: Say He Is God, The One, The Absolute, He Begets Not, Nor Is He Begotten, There Is None Comparable Unto God. The Torah, Psalms & Gospel Were Revealed In Aramaic, Thus Quran Is In Arabic. Aramaic For God = Allaha & Ellaha Aramaic For Jesus = Isho Arabic For God = Allah Arabic For Jesus = Isa A = Allah Alif = Allah Alef = Allah AA = Allah Alpha = Allah Allah = אל al 𐤀𐤋 (Al), translated to El by some in English, is mentioned in our scriptures as the Supreme Creator but referenced as a title for 𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤄 (Yahayah) / 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (Yahauah). AL = The Article ilah = God Allah = Supreme Creator The Jewish Teflin = Kaaba: The black box the jews put on their foreheads "Totafot", but they left the original word for no reason they changed it to "Tefillin", many jews asking why we left the original word ! in the Torah they're called Totafot. So why do we call them Tefilin ? because according to many jewish scholars Totafot derives from the Arabic Tafa or to "go around encircle" طواف., Even The Hindu's Put A Dot On Their Head, Which Shows The Connection To The Kaaba. The Lingam In The Hindu Temple, Is Also A Representation Of The Kaaba. Mecca [Used To Be Baca] This is King James Version - Psalm 84:4-6: Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You. Selah Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools. Quran [Last Testament]: قال تعالى { إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِي بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِلْعَالَمِينَ } {The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka [Mecca]: Full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings}. Buddhism Started In The Sixth Century BCE. Buddhist Cannon: There Is Only One God, Whom Created Good & Evil. MUHAMMAD (PBUH) IN BUDDHIST SCRIPTURES [Dr. Zakir Naik] Buddha prophesised the advent of a Maitreya: Almost all Buddhist books contain this prophecy. It is in Chakkavatti Sinhnad Suttanta D. III, 76: "There will arise in the world a Buddha named Maitreya (the benevolent one) a holy one, a supreme one, an enlightened one, endowed with wisdom in conduct, auspicious, knowing the universe:

I'm a Christian, but have some Jewish ancestry. I've been saying for a long time, and wherever I can, how Zionism and Judaism are not the same thing. It seems so simple to understand, I don't know why it's not common knowledge. Or maybe it is, but those who are causing the problems in the world must just be speaking the untruths louder. And that would be causing the confusion. I also remind people that using the term "anti-Semitic" only in reference to Jews is silly, since all descendants of "Shem" are "Shemites" / Semites. Which would include the descendants of both sons of Abraham ... Isaac and Ishmael. So the Arabs are not only Semites, too, but are cousins with the Jews (and the other Israelite Tribes)

@HHedda
@HHedda Ай бұрын
It was genuine because the Jewish people in Muslim countries were off those countrie for centuries. Yes they had others laws to follow but they worship the same God, they speak the same language and shared many cultural traditions. Muslims had protected the Jews throughout the centuries until the zionists came. Some left voluntarily others by force and some by violence done by zionists dressed as Arabs. Many Muslims really felt ashamed they couldn't protect their beloved Jewish neighbors against "their own." But what I see happening now unfortunately is israeli European jews now move to countries like Morocco and claim properties that used to be of Jewish citizens. The Moroccan people living there are loosing their properties to these people since a couple of years now, regardless of the paperwork they can present in court to proof their ownership. It's really sad.

When Palestine is finally freed from the Zionist occupation, may Rabbi Elhanan, or his students, be the light that guides a renewal of the Jewish religion that brings it away from this modern mutation based in blood and soil, but back towards its roots that focuses on G-d and the Torah, and let all faiths live peacefully and in harmony together in the holy city. Rabbi Elhanan for Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem.

There’s no such thing as a Palestinian State, it’s a modern invention. Syria-Palestina was a Roman jurisdiction and the name Palestine comes from Philistia which were not Arabs. The Jews have always been there, even during the diaspora the Jews always maintained a presence in Israel. In the 1800’s there were many people who visited Israel and took extensive notes on what was there. Among them was even Mark Twain. Where were the Palestinian people in that era? The Arab presence outside of Jerusalem itself(where Arabs were a minority) was basically non-existent. So-called Palestinian Arabs were literally migrant workers that came into the country to get work from the Jews who were trying to rebuild the Israeli State during the British Mandate. They were literally foreigners and there’s no such thing as a historical Palestinian culture or people

The Bible doesn’t say that Jews will be in exile until the Messiah comes. The Bible actually says the messiah will come when Jews all return to their promised land. The Bible never says that Jews will return to the promised land under an atheist, God believer or Muslims; it simply says Jews will return to the promised land and from there a messiah from the line of David will be given to us from God. This rabbi is incorrect the only reason Muslims like him is because it validates Muslim desire to dominate the region and ultimately the world. This man is simply a useful tool.

What a powerful interview. The interviewer asks these sharp, respectful questions and the Rabbi's love to Torah is seen and felt throughout the interview. I have to add: in the small town where my late mother and her family lived before they were expelled by the communists in 1945 from Bohemia/ Moravia what is now Czechoslovakia, the Germans there lived together peacefully with the Jews. My late German mother said that everybody got along together very well including the Jews, and I will never forget this. The only difference I need to state is that I believe that the Messiah has already come. He is much more than a mere prophet. Yes, a true believer is one who lives his faith. Actually, there are about 1050 commandments in the new testament ( this includes the 613 commandments in the OT/ except the ceremonial law), however, we can relax, because we are saved by grace alone . Our works will not bring us to heaven., our faith in Jesus will. I have learned a great lesson today. Thank you so much!

Rabbi started by saying that Jews are a religious group, not an ethnic group. But he then pointed out that the Torah was given to the children of Israel specifically, an ethnic group from the land of Israel. He then states that the mitzvot are for Jews only, and that others are not obligated to keep them, but may convert if they wish. So Jewish identity is clearly two-fold. I like his perspective on the idea of “chosen people”, that isn’t a matter of a group superiority complex, but he’s missing the indigenous component of Jewish identity. There’s a reason that the Nazis, Mussolini, the Hungarians, and the medieval English, Russian, Turkish, Spanish and Portuguese empires all took exception to Jews based on ethnic grounds. He stated that Herzl was “an atheist Jew”, but if he didn’t practice the Jewish religion, then what made him a Jew? He was still a Jew, despite being an atheist! We are clearly a distinct group. Not a race, but an ethnicity, just like being Irish, Italian, etc. I’ve had my DNA sequenced, I’m Jewish, and I’m related to other Jews. I hope that we can move towards a future where Jews will live in the land of our ancestors without having to resort to violence to attain that, and to respect the rights of Palestinians, who are themselves indigenous to that land. A binational state, like what was initially proposed in the 19th century, would be ideal.

No. Jews/Zionists are simply wrong about the fact their religion is "ethnic". Judaism became popular in ancient Israel. So did Samaritanism. How come Samaritanians are not trying to build a country in Israel and are not killing people there? They also believe their religion is ethnic. Guess what, every group when they start their religion thinks they are "ethnic". If I started a new religion with all my friends in Manhattan I could say we are "from here" and we would want to conquer Manhattan for ourselves. Same thing. Only exception is you guys inbred more than other tribes and hence you have this "Jew" problem. That definitely in itself is ethnic. I agree. But it has nothing to do with Judaism. For example: in USA we have all religions, but we are all somehow "American" ethnic in a way. I understand you want a country, and I can't blame you, but the way you do it will never work with the rest of the people on the planet. I think you have 2 choices, either abandon the bad gene pool and out breed, or ask the planet to give you in land in peace. Otherwise you will be eventually prosecuted as you were for 3000 years. And you are doing something wrong if you were prosecuted for so long. Maybe time to fix the problem. You even have a problem among different types of "Jews". Rabbi here is very smart and very human. But I do acknowledge your situation where you are not super religious like Rabbi here, but you are from that gene pool. Catch 22. Genocide ain't it. It turned the planet against you "openly". Before it was behind closed doors.

FYI: DNA sequencing studies have shown that Jews from the Middle East are genetically closer to other Middle Eastern populations compared to European Jews. Similarly, Jews from Africa are more closely related to other Africans than to Jews from Europe. These findings reflect the historical migration patterns and genetic mixing of Jewish communities over time. This fact is straightforward to establish and is not controversial.

As he mentioned, the mainstream media in the Western World have ignored him and those who share the same perspective on the Jewish Religion despite the fact it is undisputably rooted in Judaism. The same applies to l 'Christians' who see Christ as optional. This makes no sense, yet this concept is central to many 'Christian Zionists'. They are not of true Christianity or true Judaism. As for Gaza and the WB, the idea of God petitioning Congress for weapons for ethnic cleansing is beyond bizarre. To Deceive in God's name is the province of Evil.

I am enlightened by this beautiful Rabbi about his explaination of God's chosen people. I am crying from finally understanding what Judaism is. Because the popular belief that only Jews by blood are Jewish. It made me question that belief as I see that pure hubris. Because Genetics evidence shows that most Arabs- Palestinians and Jews share genetics source. That means Judaism of the Jews is a religion, contrary to the popular beilef that only by blood can you be Jewish It is the same as evangelist Christians who believe that only those who accept Jesus Christ can be accepted in heaven. I always had a problem with that. We are all children of God; of the Creator; the Source, the Light; the Pure Energy. We are all loved by God and his great Mercy envelopes all humanity. Over millenia, men have misinterpreted God's Word that found its way into religious books. I now realize that Muslim's Allah is the same God that I believe and worship, and that most religions believe in. There is only ONE GOD. God is great!

I understand what you are saying. I admire the Rabbi as well. But you cannot compare Christianity with anything else. As a Christian I do believe in Jesus Christ and that he is the only way to heaven through salvation, because Jesus gave his life as a living sacrifice to be crucified for our sins and arose the third day to give us life after death and more. Read the book of John in the Holy Bible. Especially the in chapter 3 verse 16...John 3:16. You will hopefully understand better why Jesus is te only way to heaven through salvation.

The idea of "Jewish by blood" or the Jews being a "race" comes from the antisemitic definition of Jews given by Hitler and the Nazis. So to those people who think Jews are a race, they're literally taking Hitler's definition of Jews when Judaism is a religion, not a race or ethnicity.
