/\/\ MARCHINGSPORT That’s like asking “what’s wetter? Water or wet sand?” lol... At least Valley put forth an actual effort this week . They really “really” played with their limitations but I guess I can’t be mad at that. shrugs Like I said in the other post, Jackson intrigues me this season. They seem to be building a full head of steam into their clash with Southern... maybe because that particular matchup is so late in the year this season. Week after week their stand selection, and sound just seems to keep rising. I truly believe their best is yet to come....

@@IrvPayne I'm am an Alumni and a big fan of Southern University Human Jukebox but I have to agree with you. Jackson has shown skills this year. SU hadn't lost there fire, but my opinion is the staff is not compatible. The vibe that was there when Haymer was head, it was on point. I support Jukebox staff but as an alumni member, they need to start bringing the fire.

DEM DAM CYMBAL Players during " Highest in the room",, OMG,,, The cameraman could have left it on them for the rest of the song. Their routines this year, are catching alot of attention..They acted a fool against KSU, and now MVS... Keep it up fellas

MVSU is the perfect example of how the SWAC was until SU brought in the agressive arrangement era of marching bands. MVSU is basically old SWAC tradition lol.

@@robertmccarther5230 Not so much. Before the advent of rap, every SWAC marching band had much more versatility musically. SWAC marching bands were just as versatile as MEAC bands. Now it's all about power and who cranked on who.

MVSU has to use finesse and tone color, for the simple fact that they are smaller. There is no way to over power the other bands. So they have to use timbre. Who won? That's a matter of opinion, i personally like the sound of MVSU more color and cool groove. If more old skool. But i can see why others would choose JSU.
