5USD Airport-City Center TRANSPORTATION (EASY & CONVENIENT)| FULL UPDATED GUIDE
How to go from the Istanbul new airport or to the city center?
This video is your full updated guide of what kind of transport we can use from the Istanbul new Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gökçen airport on the Asian side to the city center such as Taksim or Sultanahmet.
There isn't another affordable public transport such as metro, buses or tram. The only ones are the HAVAIST (the CHEAPEST WAY), HAVABUS, and of course taxis.

Just got back from Istanbul. Really enjoyed it. The prices and conversion rates have really changed a lot since this video. A taxi from Sultanamet to IST was 600tl (4 am) and 750tl (afternoon). I had the hotel call them. That is $23 and $28 US. Also tried Uber but when the driver accepted the ride he asked for more than the rate quoted in Uber. We were tired and had just arrived and it had taken several minutes for any driver to accept so I negotiated a little less, but still more than the Uber rate. (We tried save time and money by taking the metro from IST into the city and using an Uber for the remainder but probably ended up spending the same amount as if we had just taken a taxi from the airport.). Oh well. After a day trip to Sofia we took the Havaist bus and it was nice. We didn’t have luggage and knew the city better by then. The bus was $5 US.

I really enjoy watching your videos... 😊every one of them is more interesting than the other one! ❤ I admire your efforts in informing the potential visitors to come to Istanbul with every details. 👍But I have to point out that the taxi drivers are not out there to deceive the tourist with fake currencies. There has been some incidents reported in this regard but it is not a standart practice used by taxi drivers. When it comes to taxi drivers I think they have terrible reputation world wide. Therefore the best advice - should be given - to tourists not to pay anything in foreign currencies ( except from venezuellan peso or iranian tomen 😅) in such services rather in turkish lira which is almost whortless anyway🤔

Hi Bery! I have watched a few of your videos and found them to be helpful. I am traveling via Istanbul (first time) and will have a few hours to spend in the city. Wish you could make a video on what to do when there is a layover of 6 to 15 hours. Most importantly, I didn't find any mention of lockers at the airport for keeping luggage before heading out to the city center or where to sleep at the airport before catching a connecting flight. Will appreciate if you are other knowledgeable travelers can comment. Thank you!

Hello love listening to your video, great job they are all very helpful. I have a question about the public bus system you talked about getting to Taksim Square from the airport, which according to google maps my accommodation Hammamhane is only 11 minute walk. How could I find out if this walk is hilly and carrying two suitcases might be difficult to do and if it is hilly I would need to take a cab from Taksim Square, any suggestions on this for me. Also I'd like to know if taking the train from IST is better and faster, which I believe goes to Taksim Square as well but from my research I might need two trains to reach my Taksim Square. Eg M11 metro line then transfer to M2 at Gayrettepe and get off at Taksim Square.
@johnmay9699
@johnmay9699 11 ай бұрын
Now there is metro / subway also. You need to walk to the station when you exit the airport. They have the automated walking pathway that helps. You will need to buy istanbul card to pay. Get cash at currency exchange at the airport. Credit card reader may not work if card is rejected by bank cause you are in new country.
