Love the tear tape tool! It saves my thumbs and I can keep crafting longer. I use it to help me burnish too; I can put pressure on a wider surface area without as much effort and pain..thanks!

Daphne i figure it out my self i see that there is a half (1/2 ) between each hinge or the hill and then you go it is like when we make an accordion for the side of a expandable box it is just paper so we try and try again i use Shelly's( j & s hobbies and craft ) way i find it easier but this way is so kooooool and you explain it just fine. and yes the burnishing is so important mine has come up just because i skip that step . yeah!!!! you rock loving this and it is only the book cover i am actually making this as we go along THANK YOU FOR GETTING ME STARTED I HAVE NOT MADE A MINI ALBUM IN A WHILE .

Love this explanation of a basic album construction , a good update to your video album construction playlists. If I use rice paper over the spine and about 1.5 inches wrapped onto the front and back cover, would you still use the book binding tape? The rice paper seems to avoid any cracking that may take place otherwise at these joints. Thank you for this great tutorial!

I would and here is why - the weight of the album resides in the hinge and pages, so even though you wouldn't have to worry about cracking the weight (depending on pockets inserts and flaps) could be too heavy for the the cardstock and rice paper to carry thereby pulling the insides out. Daphne

If I want make a 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 album with 6 pocket page, is it possible? Can it work with an 3 1/2 spine. If it’s possible, how do I fix the hinge? Can you please help me? Bye the way I really love your tutorials❤️ I have made three album with your help🙏🥰

Yes increase the spine to 3 1/2 and here are the score number for hinge score 1 ¼, 1 ¾, 2 ¼, 2 ¾, 3 ¼, 3 ¾, 4 ¼, 4 ¾, 5 ¼, 5 ¾, 6 ¼, 6 ¾, 7 ¼, 7 ¾, 8 ¼, 8 ¾, 9 ¼, 9 ¾

use 8 1/2 x 11 trim to 5 7/8 x 11 lay in score board lengthwise start score at 1 1/4 ect as noted previously.

I use 65lb cardstock from Neenah, it's call Astrobright Eclipse Black we sell it in out Store www.scrapncreate.com/product-page/neenah-astrobrights-eclipse-blackcardstock-8-5-x-11-65-lb-80-sheets You can also (sometimes) find it at Walmart. daphne
