This was the first and only time me and andross51 ever rail fanned the Filmore & Western RR! This was bittersweet to see this being their last run under the original ownership! Hope this RR gets a new lease of life later this year! Enjoy everyone!

That's me on the left side of the shot at 12:38. Man that day surely was an experience to say the least. It was just sheer luck that I remembered to check their website earlier in the month to see if they were running only to find out that they were ceasing all operations. I quickly got my sister and I tickets for the June 12th Train and then I returned for this final run with some relatives. They may not have gone out with a bang but they surely did leave a lasting impression as well as a fond memory that I hope to cherish for many years to come. Here's to hoping that the new owners make due on their promise of having trains running again by the fall and to the original ownership I wish to congratulate them for providing us over 30 years of fond railroad memories and the best of regards.

Nice catches dean and cam. I’m rlly sad to see it go. But thank god I filmed this train a few times. I filmed it on June 19th w/ some friends and it was the best day of my life

did you know that most Fillmore and western railway trains run in a push and pull configuration. That is because there is no turntable at the other end of the line which is Santa Paula, so they have to put a locomotive on both ends of the rain.

the Fillmore and western trains is one of favorite vintage railways, especially because that train offers specials event trains such as Thomas the train, murder mystery trains, pumpkin patch /Christmas tree tree field trains, and polar express trains. It is too bad to see it go.
