#6 Changing windows in my 17th century Farmhouse

It's so exciting when you find window openings that have been hidden to be able to restore them back to windows and bring back light into the room is amazing. Changing windows to slimmer frames really brings the outside in and transforms the energy in a room and how happy you feel in that space.
Being a classified zone due to the age of the property means restrictions are in place and any change must be in keeping with the building . I also like to think that the changes look like they have been there forever .

Those windows are beautiful! 😍 Even on video it’s possible to feel the difference. Not only is it brighter, but the house can breathe better. The flow of things is so much nicer. You’re doing amazing things ❤

Early Monday here in South Island of New Zealand watching your video. I really enjoy watching your progress. Fantastic result with the windows and you must be thrilled with all the extra light into the windows. Can you use the old cupboard doors somewhere else in one of the less important rooms? Is your weather cooler now?

Good morning 👋Oooh I spent a lot of time in South Island near Milford sound many moons ago😀 beautiful country! Yes I will definitely use them in another part of the property for sure as they are chestnut wood and in great condition . Yes winter seems to have come earlier this year unfortunately. Hiya , Thanks i love them too and they are really good quality I got them from Leroy Merlin, they deliver I would not recommend the cheap ones they do but the aluminium windows are excellent. Good Luck!
