I call mine the Amazon box or Wine box method. Every time we get either box, I try to fill it with stuff! Great ideas!!!

Thank you for sharing. Really interesting ideas 🤔. …each have uniqueness that would suit different people . If all my rooms have a lot of clutter and I have a day.. I set timer for 15 mins and do one room then 15 mins on next room etc and at 45 mins I stop for 15 mins for a cup of tea then up again for next room on rota and loop and all rooms get cleared evenly at end of day .if I have item for another room I take it there but don’t put away or sort until that room on my rota. When I have my 15 mins break I tend to watch a YT declutter video..normally yours as you are the most upbeat and inspiring .💛🤍.

They're all great ideas, but I think I like the 4 box method the best and although I didn't have a name for it, it's how I decluttered over 80 percent of my home.

What an incredibly helpful Video. I’ve purged about 70% of our belongings over the past handful of years, but I’m always looking to streamline even more. I like the focus on what (insert stuff here) you want to keep idea a lot.

Love all of these! One piece of advice I learned from my mistakes with the storage method is to shop that box! So many times I would declutter things and put in "quarantine" before decluttering but it being out of sight out of mind I totally forgot it existed! So I would find myself needing something and not having it so I would immediately go shop and get a new one of whatever it was. Later remembering that I had that thing in the storage box and kicking myself for spending money on something I didn't really need! So keep that box in mind and focus on what you bring into your house.

I think the four box decluttering method is great for bigger areas to declutter or for a lot of items. Now that my house is further along, and I don’t have many things to go through anymore, I prefer the one day dump. 🙂

I think #2 is a great way to deal with sentimental items. Unless it’s furniture of course and too large to quarantine. We had an issue with our bedroom floor and I had to box up stuff from several rooms bc it was such a mess tearing that floor out. The room is complete and almost all the stuff is still boxed up. Easy to dust now LOL 🤣 I gave away some furniture to family and made the room we almost totally emptied out my new workout room! I can’t believe I never thought of this before! Haha. It has motivated me to workout nearly every day now!

I’ve done just about our whole entire home over the last year. I only have one area left that really needs to have the initial sweep through and that’s my kids’ sentimental boxers and photos. All of our photos I’ve printed over the year need some organizing and labeling, but I’ve been so thorough and it feels so nice!! Our cellar and garage is an absolute last because it’s where we’ve piled trash, boxes and big broken items that we can get rid of on our spring pick up day in our town. I can’t explain how good it feels to have such a peaceful home and how nice it is to surface clean in about an hour! I rotate other cleaning chores so it’s not so mentally taxing and to take the pressure off myself to have a perfectly clean home 24/7. I have three boys, a husband and dog so it’s bound to become a little cluttered but I can do a sweep through very quickly with being very intentional about what comes into our home.

That three boxes of graduated sizes method is so new to me. Wow! Neat. You've really overcome. But I could NEVER close a box, and not re-look at it before knowing I wanted it to go away. I like Minimal Mom's Quarantine box and I get rid of hard things that way, BY looking at them. :)

I've tried different methods but really like to put all same items together (ex: books, dvd's, cd's, clothes, bedding, towels).....or rooms....(ex: going through all kitchen stuff), etc. When you have all same stuff together...it can really blow your mind of how much a certain thing(s) you have. But, I've also liked just going through each room. Like I said, I've tried different ways and they each work. We will be moving soon and I've told myself I just really don't need all of this stuff. I have decluttered a lot in the past and several times. It's amazing what you can still get rid of.

My daughter didn't want my wedding dress or veil, so that made it easy to donate. My husband saw me in my dress on our wedding day, so when we do a vow renewal, I want a new dress.

I used the lace and fabric from my mom's wedding dress to make a small drawstring bag for my niece to carry in her wedding. I have plenty of her wedding dress fabric to make bags for my mom's other grandchildren.

I've gone one room at a time. Starting in the livingroom I went through every drawer and shelf. Day 2 I emptied my daughters room into the now clutter free livingroom and went one item at a time putting it back in her room. Day three kitchen emptied. Day 4&5 my bedroom emptied, etc. Nothing goes back into the room without being decided upon

Oh I need to do this one! I have often thought about leaving all my things behind for someone (my husband and children) to deal with. I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon, but you just never know. So many of the things I've held onto (from those gone before me) will have no meaning to anyone beyond me.
