As I mentioned I am a 4th grader waving back and forth in time wave lenth quantum machine. Wow & Now I remember the wave calculation although car and us we are not waves.. 4th graders explaination quantization seemed to be the amount of radius energy that correlates (correspondent)with eachother via wave length found by given amount of sign and beta ...so on and on..

Amazing professor, so engaging. At lecture six now, wondering when the Physics ends and Chemistry beings though?

TITLE: 1) Wave-Particle duality of Matter (RECAP), (+QuantumDots) 2) Schrodinger & Probabilities, 3) The 4 Quantum Numbers & Probability Cloud Shapes (of elements) 4) Shielding & Orbital Penetration - We are on the same wavelength.... Thats Deep @1:52 - You don't need to know how to solve it, But you need to know what the Solutions mean.... That's what we are talking about today! @04:10 - We Still don't know what the actual wavefunction means.... Physically.... @19:05 - QuantumDots @ 1. The 1st Quantum Number ==== (Principle QN/ Shell) ==== ORBIT a.k.a Main Energy-Level @ 2. The 2nd Quantum Number ==== (Anguler Momentum QN/ SubShell) ==== SHAPE @ - This is Old Notation. That we Cannot get rid of ==== s,p,d,f, ==== sharp, principal, diffuse, fundamental ==== It comes from Spectroscopists & Remember I told you never make a Spectroscopist Angry, Don't do it, Don't Do it.... @26:50 - Gives us the SHAPE @28:00 3. The 3rd Quantum Number ==== (Magnetic QN/ ORBITAL) ==== Axis-Orientation a.k.a Rotation @28:10 - With These 3 QN ==== You get the ORBITALs ==== @31:34 - Which tells you everything about where that electron, CAN BE, how it behaves, WHAT IT'S ENERGIES ARE, and therefore literally why atoms are what they are. Thats what it Tells us @31:45 - And explaining why atoms are different, Remember that was our goal.... We needed to go Quantum to answer that @32:15 4. The 4th Quantum Number ==== (Spin QN / 2e @ each ORBITAL) ==== ..... IDK ..... It's only application is to talk about "Filling Up Atoms" @32:27 - See this in Action (Stern & Gerlack) @32:39 - DEGENERACY @38:30 - ENERGY Levels - What happens when we go multi electron? @40:30 - Why is there such a difference? - Shielding & Orbital penetration @40:40 - Shielding @41:10 - Orbital Penetration @46:20 QN = QuantumNumber
