This is so helpful! As someone who will be entering final year in a few weeks, I have been getting my head around all possible jobs but was only aware to the more common ones like AP or PWP. Thank you for breaking them all down in a concise and helpful way!! X

TheOxfordPsych Yep! 😁 Although, when I say know - I have heard that they exist but haven’t looked into them properly yet, a little early for me. I’ll do more research nearer to graduation I think - specifically what’s available in my area (Manchester) as I won’t be able to relocate - mature student (28) with a partner and toddler at home, so not really an option. Just trying to gather information/guidance a little at a time as I go though my degree because I feel like I have no time to waste anymore 🙈. Really appreciate your videos, they are so informative and helpful - thank you for putting in the time and effort to help others 😊💜💜💜

I honestly just love your videos Aika, they’re so informative! I’m doing my gcses now & I’m thinking of going into clinical psychology, but the career prospects really worry me. Does the salary and the oversaturated field make you regret the path you chose? It’s just that I still have a while to make a decision and I don’t want to go down a path that doesn’t have the best pay after having dedicated a lot of my life to training to be a clinical psychologist just because I like the subject at school. Thank you so much for all your help 💕 xx

Hey! No I don’t regret it. Though if salary is your prominent concern you may want to consider alternative routes given that financially it is a difficult path at least in the early years x

Thanks so much for this video! Would you say that these are good jobs to do to gain clinical experience before doing a doctorate in clinical psychology or are they more careers in their own right? :))

Is CAP different from CAAP? Clinical associate in applied psychology, also not sure if this is only in Scotland perhaps? I thought of taking a break from care assistant and started navigating a whole other field finding it difficult to come back or get openings in psychology now. I am curious if I should explore Behavior mentor roles? My goal is CAAP, but international students it is tricky. Thank you for your video it is really helpful!

I’m going to start my psychology bachelors degree in September and I’ve always been interested in mental health, I don’t want to go down the doctorate root but I’d be fine doing a masters in clinical psychology. What jobs have good pay and also work around mental health?

I am a health care worker in mental health. Very demanding, psychologically draining job, wehre you will be required to clean, cook, shop.. etc... and treated like shit. Do you need to do your bachelor to be a residential "floor staff". ?

@jamesb2166

Half of these jobs require you to be already working in the NHS to gain a training place. So a bit pointless.
@12sodium13
@12sodium13 Жыл бұрын
Not quite, it's true that you are employed within the NHS or a mental health charity for courses like the CWP or EMHP, but these jobs are advertised just before applications for the uni courses open. You don't have to already be working in the NHS to apply for these posts and essentially apply for the NHS post alongside the uni course. You tend to automatically get on the uni course if you have secured a job.

I graduated last summer.... it’s been one year exactly and I’m unemployed with a psychology degree. I wanna die. London the industrial wasteland and hell. Uni is a scam. I’ve given up 😂 like really or maybe I’m just doing soemthign wrong. Even the graduate positions I’ve applied for they want experience... we graduate to get the experience though 🥲😩😭😭😭

@@farina6616 wow Ngl it’s so much better that you have the experience of a support worker cause at least you have something for the cv and they are more likely to hire those familiar with clinical field rather than those who are undergraduate if that field but have no experience what so ever …. Aka me. I’d do anything to have position of support worker, girllll your so lucky this allows you develops and apply your self to other positions as for me they wouldn’t even trust me or give somone like me the chance. Your honestly in so much better position

@@katerinaberhami3770 Thank you! but I think you're being too hard on yourself. There are lots of support workers jobs around and some companies will not require any experience. So, keep your eyes peeled! I hope you find something!
