@@drym3943 agreed Fuck this idea of "always think about your goals". This will lead to overthinking and you will eventually rethink your goals and rethink yourself. Result: self doubt, anxiety... The key is to do the good work and habits everyday and not even question your goals. Life isn't easy and they will be big obstacles. Otherwise we would all be in that top 1% of society. As long as you do things that truly will make you happy, things will not be too hard mentally.

disagree with the videogames, they taught me english, they taught me to stay cool in stressfull situation, they taught me to use my mind and my intelligence in ways i would never tought, video games can make you better if you use them the right way, as everything else in life, is over-using something that cause problems, not the existence or the normal-use itself.

I agree with you because I play video games a lot, but I do play them excessively often, so it's not good. I believe balance, like in many other facets of life balance is the key. As long as you're keeping up with your other responsibilities and duties then I'd say video games aren't a problem. But for me for example, I'll put off things like household chores or going somewhere, because I'd rather be playing video games, and that's a bit of a problem.

But at the same time I am a person who doesn’t want to just be the lady of the house, and if I do end up having a child I’m not gonna be the one at home. Nowdays to be seen, recognized and be on top in this society you have to have what is considered “masculine” traits. (Unless you’re pretty or can sing) I honestly kinda see where you’re coming from but I’m not the type of person to set back and let people do things for me while I stay at the bottom. I think quitting video games has some grey area. True they are addicting and project a false sense of accomplishment but the benefits allow one to practice teamwork, problem-solving, focus, anger management, calm under stress, hand eye coordination, and self control. You have to know when it’s interfering with real life responsibilities and have the discipline to limit yourself.

I love video games, but it is true! You devote yourself to accomplishing the goals of digital characters, but you sacrifice your own goals. The same happens to people addicted to social networks that watch others living their lives and accomplish their goals while you stay the same. Avoid everything that makes you procrastinate. Go for your things and be patient, because some things need more time to happen. You can also use the gamification to help you. Make a roadmap of the tasks and go step by step, focused and optimists.

I agree with all the points except point 5. To completely stop playing video games is kinda bad for someone who really likes video games and enjoys them. Rather I would say to them to balance their video game sessions around their life. For example, today you have a lot of work to do, maybe school works, maybe you promised to meet someone tonight. Now you don't play video games for that day or night. Remember video games are not going anywhere but your school deadline will come and you might never see the person you promised to meet tonight. So the main ingredient to balancing games in life is to never make it the top 3 priorities of the day. Only then one can enjoy both life and video games at the same time without wasting time.

Many people make the mistake to confuse introversion with shyness when the two are actually completely different. Being shy is a result of not trying to socialize either because you haven't been taught how to or due to painful the experiences. Introversion is the ability to charge up your inner social battery by withdrawing from the action for a set amount of time. Introverts can be outgoing (I know I can) but being social drains their battery. The bigger the crowd the quicker it usually drains. An extrovert, by comparison, thrives in midst other people being social. They love the attention but take that away and isolate them like an introvert would do on their own volition that social flower will begin to wilt. That's why so many people have fallen into depression due to the extended isolation periods caused by COVID. Now, let's talk about video games. They are on the same rank as watching TV or reading a book. They are a medium and these exist in a variety of forms of which some will nurish a hungry mind while others will poison it with utter garbage. Giving general advice to stop playing video games is no different than me telling people to stop watching TV as I can't stand the indoctrination of mainstream news outlets. "What, don't know anything productive to do after work other than sitting on the couch until you pass out? Oh, so you need this to unwind? Aha..." There is two types of creatures in this world, those who do recognize their own reflection in the mirror and those who don't. What I'm missing in this video is the impact making sacrifices and choosing one thing over the other since that's what young men struggle the most with due to their lack of experience. And I don't mean to push them into a direction. A fellow coworker told me before retirement that sometimes we have to take into consideration what we know at this point and time and make a decision... You evaluate the correct course to take based on what's available, then you stick with it. Don't threat over unlaid eggs. Instead, deal with them as they come. As long as you're being thoughtful take full responsibility no one will judge your intentions. The only error is to stop moving out of fear to make the wrong decision. On the other hand, I'm absolutely with you about being truthful and walk your own path despite other people's opinions. Personally, I've been the most motivated whenever I've had been doubted. Then, I wouldn't just prove them wrong I would go the extra mile to knock it out of the park so hard they will just sit there in awe. All this triggers spiteful people who will gladly try to bring you down (to no avail) but it will also inspire the right ones to follow your image. There is a lot more to list but let's leave it at this, for now.

honestly I never felt like I was a "grown man" until I had my first child at 38 years old. There's something about being responsible for the growth and welfare of another human being that makes you into a man. In my 20s and 30s I was pretty much just an overgrown teenage boy.

I agree with everything but the video game one. Video games are not an escape from reality for me but more of an inspiration on being a better person by emulating the good actions the character had made. I was inspired to work out and try to do good things in my life because of video games.

My only criticism is that there are even 50 year olds who play games, being adult doesn't mean giving up all distractions and become a working machine, I play a few hours every day and I can balance everything and still have some hours to relax. I agree with the rest

To translate it in to Big V .... 2, 4, 5, 6 are all points linked to high conscientiousness 1 is high Openess 3 is a little bit extraversion with Openess But it is missing low to mid agreeableness so you are compativ but not a sociopath and low neuroticism so you are calm but not so low that your are psychopath. Always the same pattern for alpha and sigma (low extraversion). So my Ne (Intuition) ask for the Why... what is the main goal here? Being a high value man for the extremly picky women so they choose me as a mate or that modern times and western idology just sucks? I think being gay like Achilles and becoming immortal through my battle skilles, the death of my boyfriend, my wrath and my tragic death in war and being a role model for all ancient greeks is better than being someone like Paris with his cowardice and death of poisen arrow in the dick. So Homer has known this since 2800 years

This has nothing with being a man. This is an extrovert personality. Many people only speak when they have to. They don’t go around making small talk all the time to prove themselves.

I think getting my heart broken beyond repair was my test. I was naive. I never thought people could be so cold and cruel once they lose w/e they felt about you (if anything). People say they are what they arent and I believed them. You're alone in this world. Trust no one but yourself

im a 14 year old, turns out i do all of them except honesty and not playing video games. i dont lie about everything but i do lie sometimes when there is something i cant do. for example, im a muslim and my mom tells me to go pray like every 10 minutes, and i cant pray sometimes because i fap sometimes and its common knowledge for muslims that you have to do certain things to be able to pray even after you fap. i tell her that i prayed to get out of the awkwardness or act like im praying. sorry if i was wasting your time with all of this but yeah from now on i will be honest and stop playing video games its gonna be hard but yeah...
