He's not exactly a new artist at this point, I think of him as from that previous generation of Pitchfork-hyped acts from the late 00s/early 10s. I definitely give him credit for outlasting his contemporaries though. Haven't heard much from Neon Indian or Washed Out these days, and Real Estate imploded years ago.
