I think Miyeon has a very promising career prospects in the future. She’s already had a few acting gigs and osts so far and she fits into the Korean celebrity standard both image, vocal and visual wise. I believe she could transition into an acting career an flair quite well like alot of 2nd and 3rd gen visuals.

Miyeon actually became a trainee in 2011 around the same time as Jisoo and Lisa i think. Tbh, shes pretty successful, not as much as the other Gidle members and obviously not as much as any of the blackpink members but she still managed to have a place in the entertainment industry. In k-pop(or any music industry) talent/ dedication isn't the only thing that factors into someone's success. It is mainly the marketing done by the company that makes someone successful. Many people have talent and dedication but only some of them succeed.

I always wondered how would Hansol's cariere go if he stayed under SM. Maybe he would be introduced during nct 2018 along side Kun,who also waited long to debut But I wish him success no matter in which group he is!

Sadly this is how the industry works, what is really sad is that they have to spend years and years training with no guarantee for debut.

On the other hand, -I'm glad that wooyoung found ateez after he didn't make it in TXT -Heeseung staying at Hybe to debut in Enhypen 2 years later. -Chaeryong staying at JYP despite not making it in Twice. -Treasure members holding onto YG's promise (although Yoonbin left, so sad). -Blackpink holding in YG's promise to debut them over and over again. And we still have Chaeyoung (former Izone) fighting for another chance. Gfriend in their own paths. And many more. Just shows how luck, fate and determinations matter.

Despite Hangyul's passion for being an idol...3 failed debuts? 💀 What's really tragic is that the voting manipulation scandal that had absolutely nothing to do with him or his fellow members completely undid all their hard work...

I can say that even though a lot of fans bashed idols companies for being unfair,abuse,no promotion blahblahblah but being a part of big companies or debuting under them is a big push for them to spotlight. Companies like SM,YG,JYP,HYBE and so on. A lot of idol groups can be just about face or really talented but with a big background, they will have a big advantage against other groups. Some unknown/unpopular groups are really talented or full of visuals but still under bec they don't hve enough source. For example Got7, we know they are talented and as many fans felt unfair and hated JYP for "mistreating" them, I can say that carrying JYP name under them really made them famous. Who can put Jackson into national tv variety shows if not without connections of JYP? What show would accept idol groups with no names? So basically what I'm saying is, debuting under known companies have more advantages and chance bec it's all about connections. CEOs of those companies, even before Big Hit became famous, Bang Siyuk are close friends with the big names in the industry so he also have chances to push his artists to public. I mean I'm not discrediting the hardwork of any idols but having connections is a big plus.

X1 literally robbed. They could be the ultimate of 4th gen Bg king. Being the best selling 4th gen bg for debut album and topped kchart music. Even after 2 years of disbandment, X1 is still the best selling rookie and the only rookie who all their bside charted on melon top 100. Their achievement is still unbeatable and their name is still on 4th gen chart until today. The fact that no other 4th gen bg achieve what X1 able to achieve until today. X1 was to good to be true.

Minkyeung/Roa from Pristin. She’s visually appealing, technically skilled singer with great stage presence and so much passion for performing. Same goes for all the members of Pristin, their line up was so incredible. I wish there was some legal procedures that could be taken against companies that neglect their groups.

I feel like the big issue with Miyeon is that compared to her other members, she stands out the least. When they first came out, everyone seemed to be taken aback by Minnie’s and Yuqi’s quite unique voices. Soyeon had the background from previous shows. Soojin got famous for her dance. Personally I find her voice a bit indistinguishable and as such bland at least for me. Basically I found the other members more interesting. I am so annoyed about how Hangyul is still struggling. I wouldn’t say Chani should be on here considering how he has quite a number of film roles. There is probably more deserving people to be on this list that need more recognition

No, X1 is only active for about 2 months. They debuted September went on hiatus by November and disbanded on January 6 the next year. They were such talented people. They could have been the 4th gen bg king right now. I watched pdx 101 for Hangyul and supported all of them as they debut. They were victims of their own companies. It's tragic.

Wether we want to admit it or not the more famous your company is it doesn't matter if your more talented than their idols you still won't gain the fame that your talent deserves though thanks to Brave Girls and BTS less famous groups gain fame but not a guarantee success

I think what you need to succeed in kpop industry is talent, charisma, personality and most importantly you have to know how to be more likable to the entertainment company that you are working under. Sometimes being likable gets you to long way... you have to try hard and make the godesses of luck smile on you and last but not the least you have to know when to stop, if it's not working and it's already been 5 or 6 years then become a dance teacher try going college etc ... May be it was better that you did not get to debut. And only 10 percent of the debut idols are earning enough to secure their future most of the money goes to the company so yeah...

Media and content creator like you is very needed in kpop world, you're one of the "guardian of the nugus". Since there's alot talented soul yet to be known. i love the nugus and them who still climbing more than the famous one. Somehow their songs are timeless. I remember watching Mixnine and the reputation Hansol have is impeccable gaining a superboot. I think SM planned on debuting him in NCT U but since he and Yuta kinda have the same position, skills and vibes, being a japanese might have a factor right there. And it might made him think that SM will never debut him. And man I think Hangyul will even be bigger that Kang Daniel if only X1 didn't disband. The best case scenario would be PNation adopting Hansol and Hangyul (Doyon, Hyojin, and many more) into a group. Imagine the power they will hold. But you know age thing and since Hangyul is in another group now. Unlucky.

I cant understand why FNC has visual-all rounded idols just like SM, but the idols struggle to have stable comebacks, fame and be known by general public. If they are recognized by their variety or kdrama schedules, they arent from the IDOL work😭 I guess the exception is Seolhyun.

from all the list i guess CHANI AND MIYEON are only known to me but as far as I know chain is doing excellently well in acting also SF9 as group is rising with each comeback after kingdom and queendom both SF9 and GIDLE gain many new fans it was unfortunate what happened with gidlkes but with SF9 one thing is sure they are different as a fan of their group we only get to see them together in comeback era and otherthan that all of them have solo schedules so as a group they might not be successful like big 3 but solo wise they are known to general public also SF9 is more prominent in Korea than internationally but i hope things will be better in future and people will appreciate all of them in the list more than now
