However, there are some certain idols from other agencies, such as YG, JYP or Starship, are said to even look "more SM" than SM idols themselves, making SM jealous for not having them in their company. I can't say I prefer either Sm visuals or Jyp visuals both Company have good visual.. from Sm femele my fav are Eugene,Yoona,Yuri,Irene,Suelgi,Karina, Ningning,Winter,Yeri,Krystal and For Jyp Tzuyu,Suzy,Lia,Ryujin,Kyunjin, Sullyoon and Nayeon....but for Male Sm visuals are definitely Better

Of course Jisoo is on this list. She has the face of SM, voice of YG, and personality of JYP. Not to mention a talented actress. This girl is the whole package. YG really hit the lottery when they signed Jisoo.

Jisoo’s visual matches SM, her voice is more unique and charismatic which is more YG, and her personality is very 4D which goes with JYP style. It’s a matter of personal opinion and generalization, never said it was a fact. People are entitled to their own opinions, just because it’s not the same as your opinion doesn’t mean it doesn’t make sense. Learn to respect other peoples opinions, it’s the more mature thing to do.

Winter literally looks like a carbon copy of Taeyeon, and Ningning kinda resembles Joy so I don't see why you'd say aespa does not have that SM genealogy in them. Giselle, yeah maybe she looks like she has that YG vibe to her. As to Karina, I don't know man, she looks like an AI character so she's an outlier.

They are all pretty but honestly as an sm stan I don't agree at all with this list aside maybe from jisoo. Also, I can't understand how aespa doesn't fit sm's genealogy of visuals.

Probably because the styling, honestly at first i saw their debut i thought ‘are they really from sm?’ Like only karina pass the sm visual standart. But now they look more professional with better styling and i really love winter~ anyway the talent is more important i think so it doesnt matter if their visual not very sm they still performs well

Oh no, the aespa slander is so unnecessary. How about Seulgi though, does she also fit that SM genealogy? She kinda gives that YGish vibe to me. There might be a parallel world where Jisoo is in Red Velvet and Seulgi is in Blackpink.

But I remember, SM female idols often get criticized for their visuals in their rookie years by saying they lack on the visual department, but later on it becomes their biggest strength. Yoona was behind Wonder Girls' Sohee during debut, but became the visual center starting Gee. Irene was called SM's least beautiful visual when they debuted, but became 3rd gen's visual representative The only SM idol who were immediately praised for her visuals was only Sulli. Knets criticized Krystal by saying she has manly features.

@@persik3775 1) SM visuals have bright, innocent image, flawless-like faces. You know meeting Korea's standard's pale skin, tall nose, not so big eyes, double eyelids. 2) No & Yes. Every company does have idols that is like the visual/face of the company. But for SM, since they honestly have most of the KPop's visual representative, that's how they ended up with "SM Visual" 1st Gen- S.E.S Eugene (SM); FIN.KL Yuri (DSP) 2nd Gen- Suzy (JYP), Yoona (SM) 3rd Gen - Irene (SM), Tzuyu (JYP) 4th Gen - it just started so no can really tell

@@persik3775 as far as i know, SM has this authentic visual standard for their idols that media often say that SM's idols potray the korean beauty standard perfectly and their idols often "set" the visual standard, like their idols' visual became a trend in the society since gen 1. for example S.E.S eugene, Yoona, and Irene who considered as the most popular visual in SM said to be also at the top rank of beauty compared from other agencies and often to be the most popular face that people want in PS. Other big 3 does have "steorotypical" beauty but not as popular as SM's branded. Both SM's male or female visual often to be steorotype as the 'flower garden' for their beauty, like flower boy or girl vibe and often associated with 'softer features' like ulzzang type of visual. JYP's female visual tend to look innocent and pure girl next door vibe, like sohee, suzy, tzuyu, yuna. JYP's male visual tend to have "soft manly" looks, like most 2PM members, or nowadays it's easier to see the similarity like SKZ Han, Day6 YoungK and Extraordinary Heroes' Gunil or junhan. Meanwhile YG often steorotype as "don't care about looks" only focus on swag and badass vibe. Compared to JYP or SM, it's pretty rare to find "dopelganger" in YG. Like the only "popular twins" we found in YG was GD and Mino

Karina and Winter are typical SM styles visuals. Like Winter has kind of Yeri like visuals and Karina looks like Irene in some angles. Ningning also resembles Yeri a little. Even Giselle resembles a SM artist, she does look a little like Doyoung and Taeyeon. So I don’t get how people say Aespa does not have SM visuals, when they do.

But, if you would see her aura during pwf era, you can see, that her visuals suit bp like no other, plus, I think karina suits sm way better than wonyoung or yujin ever will. When you look at Karina, you can make out that she wouldn't belong to any agency but sm, I mean, at first when I didn't even know aespa and neither did i know which agency they debuted under (cuz I was new to kpop at the time), I saw a pic of Karina on insta and i thought, damn, she's definitely an sm visual.

i can't see any sm visual for yujin and wonyoung. I know for certain that sm loves to clone their artists and makes people blown away with this strategy. Like for example Winter=Taeyeon, Joy=Ningning, and Giselle=Krystal and Yuri. The only exceptional is Karina because I think somehow SM also experimenting with the visual representation for their rookie group which is actually good because it could make lots of talk from netizen. This makes Karina more interesting to the gp because of breaking this legacy from sm. Actually Karina fits the most for their concept. You can really see that SM really planned this well for aespa.

I don't agree totally with that video. Winter really has a visual and vocal style that SM's enjoy she looks a lot like taeyeon and all the others girls in aespa has SM style vocal. Wony and Yujin fits with Starship visuals a lot I don't know about the other girls because I don'tstan.I just agree about Chae (Klep1er) because she has de visual and de vocal as a SM artist usually have.

One thing I noticed about 'SM's visual', is that most of its idols share a resemblance with each other. That's probably one of the things SM looks in potential trainees when scouting them (Which is why ppl think the company clones their artists lol.) aespa do have a bit of resemblance with their seniors; Karina (Irene) Winter (Taeyeon & Chen; some pics she looks like him) Giselle (Yuri & Kristal) Ningning (Joy). So, idk why would some ppl think they're not SM visuals. This is just my opinion tho

Sadly aespa has been the target of bash even when they haven't debut yet. I still remember, when the teasers were out, people already said stayc's visual are more attractive (well, stayc are also pretty), I just dislike the way people easily jump and attack the girls by making competition out of their looks.. society really do give "strict" critics when it comes to girls' appearance

this channel (or some similar channel, iykwim..) sometimes just taking source from reddit, allkpop, koreaboo, pann, etc.. which is basically not a fully "facts", just opinions taken from a random netizen forum discussion that kinda got a lot attention. This is why sometimes we shouldn't take the contents too serious

Wonyoung and Yujin might look like they fit the standard of Sm visuals, but they don't give me the vibe. As you can see, I think Yujin and Wonyoung fit more in the Cube visuals, as they remind me of Miyeon and Yuqi. Green look graceful and elegant, so she give Suzy vibes, but obviosuly you can argue that Suzy have Sm visuals as well. Nana have a Cube or Jyp look in my opinion, and she gives me Yuna vibes. The only one I can relate to is Jisoo.

It's getting boring how media oftenly compare women's visuals.. it's kinda rare to see forum or articles that discuss about comparing male idols' visual. Even the "steorotypical" of agencies' visual standards didn't really that 'strict' or 'authentic' for male idols. When we talk about agency's visuals, the examples mostly female idol names that popped up.

SM's male visuals changed time to time to be honest. H.O.T Kangta, Shinhwa Eric, Super Junior Siwon & SHINee Minho have very manly features. Then TVXQ Jaejoong, EXO Sehun, NCT Taeyong have a very "prince-like" visuals

@@onghwang7026 Sm male idols have different visual though,but you can categorize their vibe ,Manly man , Prince like , Sexy, Perfect ratio one, Flower boys(I think SM don't really use the flower boy concept so their soft looking idols can look very different)SM male idols are very different but still you can tell they are from SM.

Sorry, but not sorry, sweetie, but Karina is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Won is cute, but she lacks the aura that Karina has. Ning is absolutely beautiful and ADORABLE! And need i say - VOCALS. Giselle has the aura of the COOL, SWAG AND BEAUTIFUL girl everyone wants to be around, and Winter is FAIRY BEAUTIFUL. SO U ONCE AGAIN GOT YOUR SH.IT WRONG. AAAAGAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIINNNNNNNN. For SM is not just the face they need to come with the face and the voice Karina resemble Irene knetz really do a comparision saying they are the most good looking and classy womans and Ning Ning is sort a combination of Joy and Jennie and well practically Winter look like the daughter of Taeyeon they are really alike now Giselle is very different she looks more like a combination of Choerry from loona and Yuri is not bad but she really look different

Jisoo is pure beauty ,I don't have any idea on that face maybe the beauty of innocent and awkwardness.Wonyoung is the combination of sexy and cute which her eyes easily attracts person. Irene is the beauty of perfection ,symmetrical face symbol of balance between of mature and youthful. ( I'm not their fan plus it just compliment )

As a SM stan , I don't get SM vibe from wonyoung and yujin,Wongoung is surely beautiful but she looks more cutesy and naive as JYP portray his GG( but she doesn't look JYP gg too) about Yujin , yeah she is okey but honestly I don't find her visual as mesmerizing as SM visuals.I think in Aespa, only Giselle is not SM visual type but she has SM aura though.

People forget that SM cares more about vocal rather than visual. Like you should be pretty but vocak skill is more important. All aespa members can sing perfectly while having pretty face at the same time, they fit SM's standard

This is why agencies look for looks more than talent for their idols because most of the time, all fans talk is about their looks. Tzuyu, wonyoung and Jisoo are very pretty but people outside fandom doesn't know of them more than their looks. I discovered Wonyoung through people uploading about her on social media and thought she was really pretty but never once came across through any video about her speciality and talent ( as a non fan)

The only artists I found to have similar visuals with SM that are outside of SM + could also pass of as SM groups because of their talents are ENHYPEN, THE BOYZ, TXT, WEEEKLY, & STAYC.

Loona as well, well for me personally. Lee sooman has also worked with them for 2 of their albums as well. When I first got into loona, I thought they were a SM group.

I honestly don’t think Wonyoung fits SM Visual. If anything I can’t pick a single kpop idol that can match Wonyoung. I was thinking maybe JYP simply because he tends to have visuals that stand out from typical kpop standard/ other idols but honestly Wonyoung is in her own league that I can’t think of a single idol that holds as much beauty elegance and vibrant youth as she does

True Fact: 2nd Gen idols Visuals are usually the ones that fit in with the standards perfectly it was literally THE era for SM because Visuals and Vocals were the best during 2nd gen 2nd Gen for Vocals and Visuals 3rd Gen is Popularity 4nd Gen is for Rap and Dance
