I like Pinkbike for industry news and general discussion but they don't hold a candle to creators like you for showing me local trails her in SoCal. I think you will always be relevant to me personally and I would guess many others too!

Tony, your channel is one of the primary reasons I bought myself a new mountain bike and started exploring the trails you cover, especially in southern California. There is definitely a place for everyone to upload videos and share them with people. If I buy myself a GoPro, I might even start recording and uploading them, although my skill level is beginner to intermediate. As few others have mentioned, I like watching non-pro and racer KZfaq videos as I can relate to the riding styles and the trails they typically take. Thank you once again for uploading your content, Tony!

Thanks for showing us your adventures. I'm a retired senior citizen who is trying to stay active and have fun on my bike. I don't ride double black trails or hit massive jumps. But I do post a video of a ride now and then and my friends seem to enjoy seeing what I'm up to. And I think I'll keep posting no matter what the experts at Pink Bike say.

I want to start my own channel just because of Pink Bike. Don't care where you go, what you do, and how you do it, there always be haters. I only go to pink bike to look for quality used bike parts and equipment. Otherwise I don't read or pay attention to there articles anyway.

I'm kind of surprised by PinkBike allowing those opinions to represent their channel. I'm sure they are feeling the blow back and I'm curious if they're going to recant those comments or try to make good. They turned off a huge portion of their subscribers. Oats Peak doesn't seem to ever be a downer. I couldn't climb Oats Peak when I rode up to it. The shale was even too much to walk my bike up. I kept slipping and sliding all over the place since it was after some heavy rain. The ocean views are so distracting coming down that crazy beautiful flowy singletrack. Thanks again Tony. We can't wait to get back up there to Morro Bay/SLO.

What Henry (PB) said def did come off as elitist so I'm hoping he was just speaking for himself. The MTB community has always been close knit, encouraging progression and supporting each other out on the trails. I don't know of any other sport where we ask stopped riders if their "good" or "OK". Also, I've had more success learning from independent user channels due to them explaining things in chunks and terms I can understand. Pro's don't always make the greatest teachers because they're riding at a much higher level than I can keep up with, so their observations and explanations will make more sense to higher level riders. On that note, Subscribed!

I’d much rather follow channels like yours , much more personal and real and for the most part the people posting their experiences and locations weekly are amazing riders and some of those just in the last two years since I got back into riding it’s been really cool to watch them grow , improve and even recover after injuries But yeah no matter what a riders “level” is if it’s encouraging to them to post their rides then it might also encourage someone else and imo is the heart of the industry, do pro racers buy bikes , accessories or equipment ? No we all do though For people like you Alan , Adam , the segment, the sampler, bkxc , Heather Munivie (forgive me if I miss spelled her name) Frankie , Tommy Hyguen (T_wrex) you should all know you’re inspiring and thank for sharing your lives and experiences with basically the entire world

SLO is awesome. One of the few towns that feels the same now as it did in the 80s and 90s. I responded to the Loam Ranger's video with a specific mention of you and Tommy as examples of KZfaq channels that do a service to the local MTB community. I am sure anyone who has posted a KZfaq video of mountain biking took the comments very personally. I also think they forgot the reason KZfaq exists. I do urge people to listen to the podcast, though, for context. I think Henry was attempting to make the point that less talented riders ( himself included) were taking resources away from the racing community. Instead, it devolved into a rant about pov trail guides and tik tok dances by Henry and Kaz. Keep up the good work. This one makes me really want to do a SLO/Santa Cruz/Pacifica trip really soon.

That Pinkbike commentary was truly awful & elitist. Don’t let it get to you. Professional riders are amazing, but most of us want to watch riders that are closer in skill level so we can relate to the line choices. Keep up the great vids, Tony.

Me personally, I way prefer watching the non pro, non racer channels/videos. I'm the furthest thing from a racer and would easily fall into the "bumbling" category as that dude called it. I can't really relate to pro racers that are going 50 mph down chunder and doing back flips. I thoroughly enjoy watching local people riding trails I can ride on and paces that I might actually be able to keep up with. All in all, there is plenty of room for both type of content creators, I don't understand why he feels the need to call out the regular folks.

Pink Bike is the last place I look for content unless it's bike reviews and even then I'd rather check out GMBN. I watch the channels I do not because I hope to be a racer or think that any of you do but because you provide localized content that Pink Bike in the rarified air of the Pacific Northwest doesn't think warrants coverage..
