The way to your best style is to keep your wardrobe minimal. For the longest time I had a small wardrobe of 35 - 45 pieces. This kept my life choices simple, and I learnt about what I value the most in my personal style. I still have a minimalist looking wardrobe, and many of the lessons I learnt then I still apply now. While that number of items no longer works for me, I am back in a place of narrowing and consolidating my styling choices from the last year or so, and now my wardrobe is shrinking again. I have been decluttering the things that were experiments, that are the wrong colour, that are worn out, and now my style is emerging once again. I really do believe that the key to great style is to know how to create a small wardrobe, but also, maintaining a small wardrobe. But how does one keep their wardrobe small? How does one find a style that works for them, and then practice that style?
