Totally agree. Mine have applewood n baked Apple HAY. They haven't had anything else.

Ally, what are the symptoms of high blood sugar in chins?

Lethargy, sometimes they drink more and urinate more. The only way to really tell is to take them to a vet for testing. If a chinchilla has developed diabetes they can also experience weight loss . Generally they just won't be themselves.

I give the older chin dried hibiscus, only one every other day, can I give the 4 month old chin maybe 1 a week¿

I let mine at half hour to an hour usually each and I used to let them out everyday but I just don't have the time because I have three and each one has to go out alone because they aren't bonded and it just doesn't work out. So it's super time consuming so I had to cut back to every other day. Do u think thats OK?

I don't get it ftom pet shops anymore but I buy in bulk from Timothy hay UK , its really good quality hay and you can choose whether you want it extra stalky.
