Can agree with ya mate, my favorite model is the VY/VZ because of V8 Supercars at the time made me fell in love. When i was 17 my first car was an VZ SSZ had red leather seats had a full exhaust system otr etc etc drove it every single day. Wish i didnt sell it but cant complain as i'm rolling in a VZ Thunder 6l in red lol.

I can say after watching your first video on the ss i did go and buy a 2001wh statesman LS1 with over 300k on it and it is the choice I've ever done thank you for the inspiration

Love the car bro my dream car is a vy ss Ute in the same red almost the same story as you my dad had the Ute up until I turned 7 really want to get one again and give it to my dad hope you and ya misses love the car

I have owned a VY Storm UTE from new then I sold it, sad day that was. I had a VE SSV, loved it at first but got over it pretty quick. I have a VF Storm Sedan now. To me the VF is more like the VY. My opinion. Love ya VY SS

I do like the VF interiors and being a newer car they are the ideal daily driver that’s for sure, enjoy it mate!

my vu manual has a lsd and have knocking noises in 1st, 2nd and 3rd as well ever since i got it. it will be the clutch plates in the diff been trying to make my mind up over getting a ve or vy ss manual, a vy will cost about 10,000 less but havnt seen any in my area

What are your thoughts on those new blue maxpeepee rods? Had one of the older sets and they leaked straight out the box. Definitely a mint rig you got there, nice to see it still pushing along.

So much better than the older ones man, I run them in my skyline too they’ve been great, they ride so nice in the VY a lot nicer than I expected. I forget it has coils most of the time definitely an upgrade!

My 1998 Hyundai Excel has a crunch going into 2nd when the gearbox is cold...but then again it has just hit 300,000 kilometers so I don't blame it XD

The mighty excel! That’s grouse tho hahha might just have to have some mechanical sympathy for the second gear crunch, she’ll keep going forever that thing!

@@Marc180sx Yeah I should give it some love but then again I have a spare gearbox so meh. But the throw out bearing is buggered + its on the original clutch so I'm going to put a heavy duty in it + new throwout bearing and an oil change for the poor gearbox... probably its first oil change to be honest haha

My run about is a 09 TK barina, cost me 2x 30paks Xtra dry and it's got 380,000.. had it 15mths and only replaced cam sensor(touch wood) so far.. cheap n nasty

VY was for sure the best modern commodore, ve vf was much nicer on the highway but they look and feel like a camry lol

Definitely there’s something about the VY’s that are awesome! Hated the interiors on the VE’s but love the VF interiors much more
