I have worn Polo Ralph Lauren clothing since I was a kid. My dad wore Polo Ralph Lauren. The majority of my friends wore and wear Polo Ralph Lauren. It is one of the gold standard for the preppy/traditional style and their quality is always very solid. Their oxfords, polo shirts, and sweaters are long lasting and worth the price. I still wear clothing I purchased in college twenty years ago and it looks quite nice yet.

I feel like you may not have ventured outside of PRL and don’t have much to compare to. In my opinion it is one of the lowest quality clothing on the market. I will say this excludes RL and especially their purple label line - that shit is better than sliced bread but super expensive.

No he didnt mean like you need to have highest end clothes or acesstories to have luxury item. Watch whatever is a smart watch or standard one is in the categiry of luxury stuff. Glasses too and you can get ray-bans for 150-200$ and chose which ever you want except some old which is more colectables. Cigarets, alcohol and even coffe on daily base is also luxury. Luxury its not just Rolex, Armani, Polo, Rolls-Royce and soo. Luxury items are those which you Great yourself whatever its watch, glasses, suit, good wine or something else. Its everithing you can live without but its Nice to have one and you buy it. Its that type od luxury. Many of us have luxury stuff but we are not looking on that im this way because we think luxury stuff need to ne high end expensive cars, clothes, jeverly, boats, mansions...

I always only buy the Ralph Lauren items on clearance/sale. The quality for the sale price tag makes it worth it imo. It’s better than GAP quality for sure. It ages better through the wash cycles

I stumbled on this video and I'm happy the people watching realize that RL is just good clothes. I've also never paid MSRP and wait for sales, plus the quality is top notch enough that you can buy second hand pieces at less than the cost of an equivalent H&M piece and it will still last longer.

Why Patek? I think he answered the question. Along with Rolex, Pateks has an active market for used timepieces in varying conditions. Can’t compare it with a used suit which goes for much much less on eBay.

I work for Dillard’s, and my strategy with Polo is to wait till their marked down, and then use my employee discount to lower the price even further. From there I get Polo for a steal! I recently purchased some Polo brown jeans that were originally $98. I paid $39. They’re definitely the comfiest jeans I’ve purchased, but considering this is my first Polo jeans, only time will tell me about the quality.

Polo Ralph Lauren is freaking amazing bro. It’s not just the “Pony” is honestly an investment at least for their Polos their t shirts and tons of clothing. Even some of their leather goods. Overall I think if you can afford it just go for it it’ll last you a long time or as long as you take care of it. I’ve made a black t shirt from them last over a year worth the $40 and a polo has lasted me 3 YEARS. The quality is there.

I personally am not a fan of super expensive watches. I get fake G-Shocks that costs about $4 in my country and I think they're cool (but I rarely even use watches). That being said, everyone can like anything. No matter if it's ugly, cheap or expensive as hell; if you want it, go rock it.

The Ralphen Lauren polo looked so much higher quality than that h&m polo. Also Ralphen Lauren, Lacoste, Hilfiger, etc etc.. last forever if you take care of them, and they go on sale all the time so you can buy a nice piece for 60 bucks and wear it for a decade.

@@theboogeyman5736 it's the fact that RL clothing lasts for ages. An H&M polo would fade and get loose around the waist after 5 washes. A Zara polo lost it 's printed birds pattern after like a combined wore of idk, 2 months ? The collars also start to roll up and they're pretty hard to make them stay put. It's not just the t-shirts. RL makes very good denim, sportswear , good quality jackets that are also fashionable and most important, they make top notch suits, smokings and formal-wear. As far as I know RL donates a lot of money to charity. They sell t-shirts and a lot of stuff called "pink RL". The entire sum is supposed to go into breast and ovary cancer research. There you go :). You can also find RL stuff cheaper. Shirts can also be found for around 50 bucks.

Showing a Patek Philippe and a Rolex and comparing it to a 200 dollar watch is not such a good way to promote the Vincero, it completely lacks the elegance of the much much much more expensive and luxurious brands. It’s kinda like comparing Hugo Boss watches to Pateks. It doesn’t happen. Sure the watches are cool and all but you don’t show a Ferrari LaFerrari and then a Mazda MX-5

I own a vincero, good watch, not the best; but if you're going to take a dump on patek, then you might as well take a dump on all the heritage luxury watches including: cartier, longines, breitling, tag, and your beloved Rolex watches alpha. You can't compare a watch fron patek that uses rare materials and high levels of craftsmanship to a fashion watch like vincero. I aint a big watch fan boy and i love your channel but if you're going to promote cheaper lower quality watches for a quick buck and complain about watches that are made with effort and time, then what's the point of you spending thousands of dollars on Rolex watches?? I wear Ralph Lauren and have never been disappointed. If you take care of the garment it lasts 20 years plus. Here in Canada they are sold at The Bay's and unfortunately are never on sale except the socks, underwear and sleepwear. My only complaint is the Ralph Lauren woven boxers which are more flimsy and lesser quality than before. Another brand I like which he didnt mention is Hugo Boss.

You're totally right. And in my opinion, It is not the clothing brand; nor the quality. It's the way it coordinates and gives you confidence, the way you wear it! You don't have to be in perfect shape either. Big, medium, small, skinny... everyone looks great! Normally those brands are for social climbers, nouveau riches. Comfortable shoes, dress in clothes that fit you well, according to the weather and creative coordination will make you look and feel good.

For the most part i agree with you on Polo. Especially on the regular items like that polo shirt. But sometimes ... on the Ralph Lauren Purple Label, they have some incredible stuff that no one else does and if you get it on a very good sale then you got one very special item for reasonable price -- considering how special it is. I have about 5 items in This category. A “handmade” hand knitted cashmere sweater that was about $700 for $65 that i get complimented every time i wear it . A gorgeous tan and brown herringbone cashmere blazer with brown leather trim everywhere, at some ridiculous price like over $1200 and i got for $350. A cashmere and silk incredible quality sweater so gorgeous and thick like no other for around $50. An insane $4500 mountain lamb coat, black suede on the outside with the fur (not that curly shearling) on the inside for $2000, like an inside out, one of a kind fur coat that a rock star would wear (I’m in a band part time, so it fits the image). So sometimes Ralph Lauren has incredible stuff. I do agree that when a company charges $450 for a pair of ugly jeans, or dumb as hell looking shorts or shirts, it’s just ridiculous.

I might be a weirdo but when I was a kid my Uncle used to scrape the dealers sticker off whenever he bought a car. His view was if your not paying for the advertising I am not advertising you. I haven't understood our obsession with brands, I unstitch them and every label on everything I wear, no pay no play for something I already paid for. The fabric, build and fit speak for themselves, my brand is more important than theirs and any logo, my brand is made up of my actions, words and face, nothing else needed.

Sorry but I cannot agree with you on that point. I had a few Lacoste Polos and I was really careful how I washed them but compared to Ralph Lauren Polos their colors fade sooner and quality wise, they weren't up to par. Mind you, I am living in Germany so we don't get imported shirts but straight from France. Lacoste might have a wider color range but when it comes to quality and world reference Polo hands down beats Lacoste for me.

I wouldn't say Pete and Pedro is a rip off because the products I have recieved from them are very high quality and are part of the very few products that actually work for me. I cant say much about tiege because I only got the basic pack with moisturizer and stuff ( still worked really good though because my face gets dry spots and tiege Hanley stopped it for me). I feel like he's essentially saying he doesn't get the point of luxury watches when you can get a good fashion watch for thousands less. My Father worked in Saudi Arabia for 5 years. My dad brought home used 2 Oysterdate Rolex Watches, 1 Omega Watch and Rado with a diamond dial all were given by a Saudi Prince it was about $25,000 worth. I got the Rolex watch and sold it for $6,000 bucks lol

One of my favorite watches is a 1972 Timex Marlin with a gold sunburst dial; it gets lots of wrist time. MVMT, if I'm not mistaken stands, for "movement" which I think has something to do with evacuating the bowels.

I bought Polo shoes once from DSW or Off Broadway. Most uncomfortable pair I've ever worn. I was going to Vegas the next weekend and decided to try them out bar hopping close to home. Nope! My feet hurt. I admit, maybe I didnt buy them from the right place. But I ended up buying a Nike skate pair that looked similar and I was way happier

Joe C if all u need from ur clothing is to cover ur body and keep u warm, then buy all of ur shirt from hm or cheaper ones from eBay. There are always gonna be some cheaper alternatives. But we live in a superficial society, I don’t want cloth tell others , look that’s all I can afford. Especially when are buying something “luxury”. We all know we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but if u wear a $12 shirt, and wanna try on a $20000 Rolex, the salesman may not really have the interest in u

H&M feeds on fast fashion and copying designs and giving them to the public for low cost after they make overwork their workers and pay them $60 USD/ year and they also throw their unsold articles of clothing in the garbage. Hope you have enough sense to do that, also I can tell you probably never owned a designer brand in your life since your actually thinking H&M is worthy of even being called a global brand after copying runway designs for what? The last 5 years?

A majority of people I know (myself included) don't pay full price for Polo at all. Outlet stores, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Macy's usually have a lot of sales or a specific clearance area just for RL stuff. Even the RL website has an entire sale entire, albeit the prices are more expensive than the other stores, you can still get some good steals + they have up to 70% discounts on items.

Ya. But I can wear polo 10 times without it stretching while H&M I wear twice and it stretches and goes out of shape. IMO. Have you heard of uniqlo AlphaM?
