In my opinion, if someone is ghosting you, then they are doing you a favour. Clearly, this person isn't mature enough to be honest and upfront about their emotions. Even if you got into a relationship with them, somewhere down the line they are going to do a similar thing to you anyway.

Many things aren't equal but everyone gets the same 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We make time for the things we truly want.

Once I realized that I was the one always initiating the conversation whenever we met, and she never spoke to me until I spoke first, I decided to stay quiet but polite. Now instead of constantly trying to think of things to say I can get her out of my mind and move on! Always value your self respect 👍😘

Courtney thank you for mentioning the whole waiting 24-48hr if a situation with a girl warrants that follow up text kinda action. If a girl stops responding; i stop replying. If she ain't showing high interest; it's best to keep it moving. I agree with you that we should meet more than one girl just in case one doesn't act right. No double texting, and no feeling sad. Yeah....I think a co worker who appears to have feelings 4 me is just playing with my head. It hurts, but moving on and not saying ANYTHING to her is my best healthy option. unfortunately this just happened to me. was talking to this girl for about two weeks or so and things seemed to be going really well, she'd call me often and we had interesting conversations, then about 10 days ago she stopped calling or replying. i just thought maybe she's busy so i left it at that. sent her a text a couple days later and so far nothing. what really stung is how well things seemed to be going and how direct and upfront she claimed she was, and how if i ever made her uncomfortable she would have no problems pointing it out. well, clearly not. honestly i just think she was bored and wanted some attention. got her fix from me and decided to ignore me when she got bored. time to unfriend her on fb and delete her contacts i guess. don't need to be seeing updates on my feed from someone who has made up her mind on not talking to me.

It does matter why because we are people too and if someone is being disrespectful that is not ok. Also if I did something wrong I want to learn from it and grow into a better person. You should always give the person to do the right thing approach them and get closure and expect them to communicate like a mature person that helps her and it helps you.

Im the type of person when Im interested in someone, I prefer to put all my attention into them. Thats how it was done before online dating/social media came around. Now there's this advice about having to date multiple people at one time which really isnt fair to the others you aren't truly interested in, but are keeping around so that you don't over pursue the one you want. If everyone had the mindset and choosing 1 person and giving them a genuine chance, they'd be much more happier.

A girl I was talking to didn’t respond back to me so I took it as a loss and moved on. Over a month later a mutual friend between us asks me why I stopped talking to her. She later responds to me in FB: “are we cool”? I responded: “as ice”. I don’t get it. I moved on.

I appreciate you giving two very specific examples of having "said something weird". A lot of people make EVERYTHING weird these days, and bad advice from my peers had made me think anything I ever say can come across as weird at any time to any one.

Wait for 24-48 hours, even after that she doesn't reach out, probably a red flag. 3. Boring convo. One word responses, don't do that. Show authentic interest and assess if somebody is doing the same. Common interests, and things you like or not. 4. She's playing hard to get - immature, insecure, not ready for a healthy relationship display this behaviour. 5. You said something weird. Something weird to her; something controversial, something sexual, made her feel uncomfortable. Don't get defensive, be respectful and communicate effectively and make her feel at ease and agree to disagee. 6. She's talking to someone else even after initial screening out (process after assessing multiple people to narrow down). A receptive woman would always put energy, effort, would reciprocate the effort you are putting. Find such women!

Opinions welcome: So I was chatting with a woman on Bumble for about a week and we moved to texting on the phone. After a few days of texting I asked her what's a good time to call her (I wanted to ask her out on a date for the upcoming weekend). That was on a Wednesday. Friday rolled around with no response. In the afternoon I texted her and basically called off the whole thing, in a polite "Best of luck" way. Did I walk off too quickly? Seems to me that if she was interested she would have replied in those two days rather than feeding me silence. I feel like I made that right call and avoided wasting my time, what do you all think?

You are so right Courtney about playing hard to get being stupid for girls to do. It's different if the girl actually is hard to get even though she really likes the guy deep down. This can be that she has " conflicted intentions." In other wards she might have a huge crush on a guy but not show it because she's scared or shy to be in a relationship, due to having a tragic past event with someone else. People like that need serious counseling and the problem is they don't know where to go or who can help them alot of times except in today's world now there are KZfaq channels for that like everything else that work much better than that. The Landmark coaching organization is another good tool or Avenue for that too since they counsel and coach people on their past experiences and trauma. However when a girl just plays hard to get to test the guy or doesn't want to seem too needy or obsessed that's not right and alot of guys like me would just ignore her thinking she doesn't like me anyway, then we both miss out.

As far as not calling someone out for rude behavior (and this goes for men who are rude to women, as well), don't you think it's good to politely point out their rude behavior to them and then move on, so that maybe, just maybe, they'll reflect upon themselves and not act this way to someone else? Otherwise, if you just walk away "like a gentleman" (as you say) and don't call them out, they think their rude behavior is appropriate and will continue to do it to others who don't deserve it
