I always check the color guide whenever I can, it's a neat feature especially since I am a self-taught. and you can also make those color to be shown at the color palette for quick access when you need multiple choice of compositions

Besides pucker & bloat, zig-zag is also similarly useful especially for making memphis-style crooky lines and certificate emblems. Appearance panel is gold if you're familiar with it. For align to artboard, I set an action shortcut to align centre vertically + horizontally for our pre-press designers. Together with Trim View shortcut, they're so convenient for print designers. Besides V, you can also press enter/return to do basic move/duplicate. Once you're used to key in numbers & using shortcuts, other people will be so impressed looking at you working like an accountant but in Illustrator.🤣 Good video! If you don't mind, could you please make a video tips on Select menu? I always learn at least one new thing from your videos.👍🏻

@Shavinderyt
@Shavinderyt 4 жыл бұрын
Muhammad Qasim seems like a BIG ask, since it's hard to find good work unless you're advanced/ have good connections. I'm not in the business but it's what I heard from a friend who has been doing flyer designs and stuff. I'd say fivr is a good place to start because it's cheap work and can help build your reputation and portfolio, as satori showed many videos ago.
@SatoriGraphics

Each person will have a slightly different route. For example, someone who finishes at university may get contacts from work experience, and go straight into an in-house position. Others will start freelancing and so forth. If I were you, I'd firstly address your portfolio, skills (niche?) and try and make a website for yourself. You can try and get work by contacting people and leveraging social media, as well as using Freelance sites. I personally started on PeoplePerHour, but I have heard Upwork is ok, but I've never used it

Hi Satori....MY OPINION - Photoshop allows easier importing when it comes to growing and maintaining gradients for future work....any tips on how to keep and maintain your favourite GRADIENTS backup for Illustrator. Using libraries? i have a small collection of mini artboards....just want to compare workflows.....THANKS IN ADVANCE
@stevedigiacomo734
@stevedigiacomo734 4 жыл бұрын
You're not comparing apples to apples. Photoshop is a raster-based program, whereas illustrator is vector-based. So the way they handle gradients is completely different. However, both programs will allow you to create, save, and export gradient files which you can keep in a folder on your computer for future use.

this video is basic enough so you should understand, but anyway 1- make a basic rectangle/square and then press A 2- pick a corner and you can make selective rounded corners 3- if u want rounded corners for the whole shape, press V and select the shape, on the top panel you can control size, position, and border radius

here's a question, considering everything you can do on photoshop these days, why do we need illustrator anymore? there's really just 6 softwares you need from adobe, premiere, after effects, photoshop, lightroom, audition, dreamweaver, and acrobat, everything else just needs to be merged with the other softwares
@SatoriGraphics
@SatoriGraphics 4 жыл бұрын
The original reason would have been because many deigns need to be vector as to retain quality at any size, but now Photoshop has that function to vectorise work. However, people like myself who have used Ai for ages are so accustom to it's interface and layout, that I feel right at home here. I would never ever dream of designing a logo in Ps, even with it's now built in vector function. There are certain tools in Ai that you will not find in Ps too, and those tools are essential for being precise and mathematical with things such as logo designing.
