My doctor put me on a therapeutic dose of zinc to heal my gut. Long story short, I put together months later that the zinc had immensely helped my skin, and my skin had declined after the zinc therapy ended. My doctor said it was clear from that my body needed the higher dose of zinc and put me back on it. My skin is so glowy and happy again!

Katie Newton what constituted a "therapeutic dose" according to said MD? And what form did/do you take? Picolinate is generally well-tolerated by most bodies, so it's oft the recommended form, but every body & response is different! (I take 50mg every night b/c I'm massively mercury toxic, & I can't recall (Thanks to hg in brain 😭) why I have to take it at night, other than potential interference of absorption of something else in my bevy of supps, all taken to help slowly restore functionality the hg has destroyed. Such as memory, as displayed here! 😣 So 50mg/daily for me, and now wondering if I should experiment with higher doses for a bit, Cutler protocol be damned!😏 ...I want my luscious hair & soft, silky skin back. 😔 Collagen supp does seem to be making improvements in that, and I wonder if more zinc would amplify any improvements. Hmm...)

The zinc I take is Integrative Therapeutics zinc carnosine PepZin GI brand. It has 16 mg of zinc as zinc carnosine and 74 mg of zinc carnosine in their PepZin GI brand formula. She has me on just one a day for maintenance. I think I was on two a day at the beginning. The only change I’ve noticed with my hair is I have a lot of new growth on my crown.

Thank you! Zinc literally saved my life, i was suicidally depressed, had no taste, no cognition or ability to remember, and couldn’t walk. I had a SEVERE zinc deficiency that was worsened by taking iron supplements. My skin and hair are now slowly going back to normal, ive regained some of my sense of smell, and i feel better everyday mentally and physically!

This is an excellent KZfaq presentation. The medical industrial complex's failure to properly research and diagnose and treat diet and microbiome and sleep and vital deficiency issues (including those related to Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 and Magnesium and Zinc and fiber deficiencies as well as iatrogenic prescription medication usage) is a major reason why psychiatric iatrogenesis is a primary contributor to the third leading cause of death in the U.S. (which is iatrogenesis in general). If the U.S. spent just a fraction of the over $40 billion each year it spends just on iatrogenic psychiatric drugs alone, for properly researching the issues discussed in this and related KZfaq presentations we would probably, Lord willing, achieve an absolute revolution in medical efficacy improvement and iatrogenesis reduction. Oh god I'm glad I found this. I've been going through some panic attacks after I noticed the hair in the crown of my head thinning out a bit. I noticed it wasn't growing as fast as it used to. No one in my family has ever had a history of that. I've been fasting 3 to 4 times a day while keeping my 5 days a week training the same. Also, I heard that too frequent ejaculation can cause zink deficiency and other nutrient deficiency as well. I'm glad I found this information.

I read a study that it must be taken weeks before your period for it to work. It was the first time in my life I didn't cramp! Thank you so much for this highly informative and easily understood video! I have been seeing a Functional Doctor and have quite severe zinc deficiency after getting covid last July while working in the US. I have all of the symptoms you've listed but additionally, not just the loss of taste but also a different sense of smell. Certain foods smell absolutely putrid to me now, raw chicken is a particular offender! I'm curious if the sense of smell is also zinc or may be a different deficiency? In order for food to taste like anything other than cardboard I need to add absolutely huge amounts of different herbs: thyme, rosemary, garlic, mint etc. I've had IV's for zinc as well as other vitamins and minerals that were severely depleted due to covid, including 600,000iu injections for vitamin D3, iron IV's and more. But levels are very slow to improve. In terms of over-the-counter zinc supplements, can you recommend any specific types/ brands? Now that I have truly learned the importance of vitamins and minerals first-hand, I really want to alert friend and family about the importance of supplementation and keeping a check on labs. Any suggestions would be so appreciated! They would need to ship to Australia and ideally also the US as I have friend's there (I'm back home now in Aus). Thank you again.

Since I had Thyroid surgery back in 1986, when I turned 20, I've been hyperconscous about nutrition. After they removed my body's metabolism control mechanism/Thyroid, I've had issues with everything, not the least being libido. So I've been trying to correct this with supplemental zinc and eating oysters when I can find them at the 99 cent store. It really does help, but my hormones never seem to get balanced, and are either too high or too low, since taking them orally does not effectively duplicate normal biological rhythms. It feels like I'm constantly rolling dice, to try to get on track with balancing bodily functions. But I feel like I hit the jack pot when it all comes together, and I feel normal. But I appreciate the information you put out about Zinc, it's kinda been the main focus for me, since physical fitness has always been important to me, as well as a healthy libido. 💪🏼😆✌🏼🌎☀️⚡🔥💎

30 mgs zinc and 2 mgs cooper daily dose it will be ideal. P.S. Some people can't assimilate zinc, you have to consult your doctor bout that.

I work at a plant where we extract zinc through solvent extraction, then we use electrolysis to plate the zinc. Once plated we melt down and cast into huge slabs to be distributed and used for vitamins, car frames, lotions, and thousands of other things.

The simplest sign of severe zinc deficiency is white spots on your fingernails. That can be a sign of pyrrole disorder that depletes you of zinc as well as b6.

Hey Thomas, have you seen Michael Mosley’s book The fast 800? It combines intermittent fasting with a period of rapid weight loss doing 800 Cals for a short burst i.e. 4 weeks. It’s very popular in Australia at the moment. I’d be interested in your views on the most effective foods for the 800 Cals per day rapid weight loss period.

Keep up the good work you are doing! I just started taking a new multi-vitamin a couple of months ago from Pro cap laboratories. I did a lot of research on them and they do not have any synthetic vitamins in them. Anyhow, they have 30 mg. of zinc.

Please can you do a video on emphysema? Is it true that a low cab diet reduces oxygen requirement and reduces the amount of CO2 produced? Could fasting reduce inflammation and activate stem cells thus improve lung function? Why does lung function continue to decline in those with emphysema despite quitting smoking? What can be done? I'm desperate to help my mum get better again 😥

For men, Zinc Picolinate is preferred by the prostate. Zinc Gluconate is also very well absorbed. We take 50 mg of either of those two daily. We also drink water from a copper cup to balance the Zinc intake.
