Decided to just leave the weaves/ extensions alone completely & did my own instant locks/interlocking yesterday, my hair normally comes to the bottom of my neck, now my hair comes below my ear, took me a while but ain't no going back now🤗 My dred journey starts now at the age of 36. I'm excited

i had locs for 6 years then 2 years ago i took them out one at a time with conditioner and metal rat tooth comb now i want them back so i bradied my hair my friends said they won't grow into loc so HAPPY I SEEN YOUR VIDEO THANKS A BUNCH

I wanna thank you for uploading this video. Currently, I have my hair in really short plaits & I am trying to have them become dreadlocks over time but I'm not sure how to take care of them without complications & neither do I know how to wash my braids without ruining the way they look.

Thank you 😘 I'm go with the box braids,my hair is extremely curly and soft, I've tried this before but once I went to sleep they all disappeared because it was hot and my hair sweated into curls 🤔😒🙄 I'm try it again since the weather is changing and I'm keep my hair out freely 😊

The braid pattern does take a while to disappear but if you finger roll them as they start to lock, it helps

for the coils , i used a sponge brush then from their i separated clumps and fingered coiled my hair to my liking and they have stayed in because my hair is not thick. i know that the coils will turn into locs over time but if your hair is not as nappy , would gel help, or like oil for them to lock faster or stay in easier.

I stared mine by just taking a piece of my hair and twisting with my fingers (not finger coils) but yea I keep twisting it and they are starting to lock

I would love to loc my hair one day, it's a loose curl, kinda like a curlformers set. It wouldn't hold twists on its own at the length it is, but maybe when I grow it out to my target length I will dread it
