Hello Sunami-san , I am from Malaysia :D just want to let you know that for your 4th point, it is indeed a very normal thing to do in foodcourt but we malaysian would usually combine the dishes onto one plate to make it easier for the staff. Usually people who are less aware of it would just leave the dishes without doing anything.

Actually I find the big cities in Japan to be pretty noisy. When you walk into some stores, you can hear pre-recorded announcements or ads playing on loop, along with loud music, which can affect one’s shopping experience.

hi sunami, In Malaysia have 2 kind of foodcourt, there was a foodcourt you need to clean the table that call self service, but If you can just leave the table without cleaning the table basically you pay for the cleaning service. They charge you in your bill as service charge.

Just returned from Japan. Really respect them for their toilet cleanliness and maintenance and also observance of traffic rules No one crosses an empty road when the red light is on; Malaysians would run across like in a marathon race! And the drivers really stop for you at the pedestrian crossing. And the Japanese people cycle (with baby or dog in the carrier) even in heavy city traffic with deft and precision abetted by years of experience doing so; how can they ride into a crowd on the pavement without knocking anyone?!! Before going over, I have read and saw the do and don't when in Japan. It's better to go there with no expectations as reality may be different. Despite language barrier, Japanese and foreigners do reach out to each other to make 9:42 themselves understood. That's truly the spirit of humanity.

Same for westerners, if we can't hear what they say, in English we suppose to say, "Sorry", "Pardon" or "Come Again". If we say "Huh?" or "Ah?" is actually sounds rude to them but in Malaysia is actually very normal 😂 Kimchi jiggae is so delicious.

Habit No. 3: Better Body Posture. I never expected you would say that. Never thought of that in a million years. I'm happy you said your posture is better now. Take the good n leave the bad habits n influences from us Malaysians n Malaysia. Habit No 4: leaving dishes on table in restaurant unlike Japanese culture. This is our bad habit. We strive to follow your culture bit by bit. Dont take that bad habit of us, Sunami-chan.

I grew up in Japan when I was younger. And when I returned to Malaysia, I was surprised by how people leave their dishes on the table. I wanted to keep the good habit of cleaning your own table, so I still clean my table to this day. And everytime I visit Japan, I will always remember to clean my table, and also wipe the table with tissues if the table is wet. So the next person using it will have clean & dry table 😊

i left my dishes on table to,,but i make sure the table are clean..and arrage the dishes properly so easy for the cleaner to clean the table.

for the number 5 .. hands power is only can be use in some place in some time... if its just in 1 way alley or way, or small road.... or the countdown for thee walk is more than 60 second... any coinciquence is all by that person self because they have option to stay follow the rule or just do like the other people do... even some people is angry at people woh across the road without look at the traffic light ... even though when the people who are angry but when the the one crossing the roads they never care about others too😂

I find your point that your posture has improved is very interesting. You mentioned it could be due to the warmer weather and no winter. Another reason could be life is less stressful in Malaysia. In Japan, people really work very hard and the cost of living is so high. Also in Malaysia, most people love the Japanese people because we find them so disciplined and polite. So once a Malaysian know you are a Japanese, they will immediately treat you better because your are a visitor.

I wonder where in Malaysia is Sunami-san staying where she uses her hand to stop cars. In KL you are going to get run over by a motorbike if you do that. So please follow the traffic light.

Not sure which part of Malaysia u live in, but in KL, many drinking places(moderate ones, dun go to high end ones) have happy hour (before 8 or 8.30pm) and usually its around rm 15 to 18 per mug, eg. Uncle Don. Maybe u can try next time when u come back. Cheers and enjoy ur stay in Japan.

I'm from malaysia 1st reason true since many shop or people is really loud especially restaurant like malay restaurant. they tend to just open the sound of tv to let customer know the news 2nd reason also true. Islamic people tend to eat more spicy food and non malaysia some of them also can eat spicy food but not good at it. 3rd i don't know that i let sunami judge on that. Climate in malaysia is always summer. 4th it normal for us malaysia to do that. 5th true we don't care if it red light or green light we just cross the road just we obey the turn right and left to see if the road have no car to cross. 6th we have alcohol since we have islamic friend or people we less drink alcohol. Non islamic always drink at pub and some of store is not selling alcohol as religion stuff is involved.

as a malaysian , i can confirm you the streets are way louder than anywhere. because i am chinese but born in malaysia and grew up in malaysia , the word ''hah?'' is quite common and we use the word when we are confused. adding spices to noodles are so good. everytime i eat noodles i add soy sauce and white pepper.the pepper made the soup look like pepper soup. i don't think malaysians have a good posture. the waiters collecting the dishes is normal. nobody obey the traffic rules here. in malaysia theres like 20 different race , but the two biggest are chinese and malay. the people here are mostly racist.not the black&white racist.the chinese and malay racist.but i am not a racist.
