I Noah Thomas, the creator of this channel, have been diagnosed hypogonadism by a medical doctor and legally prescribed the medically indicated treatment of Testosterone Replacement Therapy.
My Story
My name is Noah and on May 18 2011, I had a rare reaction to a medication called VIVITROL and consequently, spiraled into a suicidal depression with depersonalization and anxiety. I lost 25 lbs in 4 weeks and was in full panic or near panic for 8 weeks straight mixed with the darkest most painful depression I cold have ever imagined. I immediately could not work and had to move in with my parents who, along with many siblings and friends, had to watch me 24/7 as I was a danger to myself. Eventually I was hospitalized in the Psych Ward for a week. Getting through each day seemed truly unbearable and I knew I would surely die. I have been put on many many different doctor prescribed SSRI's SNRI's Tricyclics, mood stabilizers, anti-psychotics, holistic meds, acupuncture and even a form of shock therapy called RTMS. I barely saw any improvement in my condition for a full year. It was decided I had treatment resistant depression and I spent nearly every moment in tears. Weeks after starting my newest round of medications (Seroquel & Nortryptaline) as a last ditch effort, I had my blood drawn for possible hormone imbalances and my Testosterone levels came back 200 ng/Dl and 150 ng/Dl. The average 25 year old male has 750 ng/Dl. With this discovery I had an explanation as to why I was not getting better and why I might be so so sick. The symptoms of Low T are very similar to those of major depression. I started legally prescribed testosterone replacement therapy soon after and have been checking in with the world and documenting my experience with treatment as well as giving my insight and perspective on various topics of mental health. I am blessed to say that I have slowly, over the last 6 years, been improving and becoming more stable which I never thought to be possible. My low T manifested itself in the form of Major depression, anxiety, and depersonalization/ derealization for over a year. Treating my low testosterone has been 1 HUGE part of the puzzle but I have had to continue to work hard to hold on to my mental stability with many set backs. Gaining some mental stability back is nothing short of a miracle as I was near death for what felt like forever. I do not consider myself to be totally healed yet but I am closer now then ever before and aim to use what I have been through to help or at least offer support to others in need I was able to successfully come off my Seroquel and Pamelor.
I work out all the time as a part of my mental health recovery!!! Weight training and all kinds of cardio rule much of my free time and I also share this on my channel.

You mentioned how much you were dosing every week and did you have a Total Testosterone Range you were shooting for or maintaining with that amount? And I know free testosterone is also important? I know men that do not check their levels and have Total Testosterone in the 1200's. There has got to be some health risks for overdoing it like that??? Thank you!

You have brought TRT out of the shadows. You are an inspiration and I hope you continue to be a torch bearer for the many of us out there on this TRT journey with you. I would love to see new videos about your blood work, what size needle you use to inject currently, and why you increased your dose from 120mg to 140mg. Don’t stop the TRT videos man. There are many of us out here that really enjoy and get a lot out of them.

I was recently diagnosed with low testosterone at the age of 27. Glad to know there's someone like me, I felt I was singled out. Prior to taking TRT, I felt anxious about everything it affected me, my work and everything. Feeling like a crap every single day, waking up feeling like you don't want to do anything and just be a couch potato all day having no motivation and shit. Its hard. I have just started TRT, feeling great day by day and mental focus is getting back on its track. Relief I'm not the only one dealing with this at an early age.

If your on it for too long you lose everything you gained and nothing is bad about it besides your kidneys filtering it constantly but eventually you'll lose everything with no hopes of getting it all back. Great video. I wish more men would get their hormone levels checked. I'm almost 54 years old, and have been on bioidentical TRT for 7 years under the watchful eye of a board-certified, anti-aging physician. It has made a huge difference in my life, not the least of which is the improvement in the overall sense of apathy I was feeling. TRT definitely isn't a panacea, but it sure helped me. Congratulations on your journey, especially your sobriety.

Your TRT videos are what brought me to your channel. Personally I dont see myself and havent done well staying up to date with your latest content - but understand it's where you need to be mentally at this point. It is good to see you looking happier and healthier and I'm sure your new direction is helping a ton of people. For anyone looking for TRT content / advise I would suggest Jay Campbell. He seems to be more of a product, doctor and supplement scheel lately as far as podcasts go, but his book covers a lot of current TRT studies. It's honestly better to take the time to sit down and read the research papers though, everyone is different. TRT is highly successful for those who take understanding it into their own hands and problematic for those who dont. Good luck for continued success Noah.

My T was measured at 80 ng/dl and my primary doc said don't worry, you're just getting old. I told him that he had no idea of what he was saying. And I took my self directly to an Endocrinologist to get an expert opinion. She said that I was at a "morbidly low level" and it was good that I came to her because I probably wouldn't see 75 (I'm 69) if I didn't. After a year and a half on TRT my T level has been holding steady at betw 700-800ng/dl, My depression has been lifted. My energy level is raised (I'm a B+ cyclist now). I lift weights AND build muscle and have lost about 25 lbs (the increased biking helped). And my libido....WOW! (but I'm still 69 and ugly to younger women so what's the use there!) But I never went back to that Primary. In fact my Endo doc is my primary as she monitors all my blood levels and body functions (trt affects EVERYTHING).

Hi Noah, I feel you, I've spent 20 years of the most resistant depression , went through it all, and when I was ready to quit, someone told me if I had checked my hormones levels... I'm doing great now! Actually im about to hit the gym, and depression is finally gone, this is week #16. Now, I want to build my own channel, on completely another topic, not TRT or depression , but im stalling damm... But after twenty years of literally hell, I'm alright ... yup doing 200mg a week at the moment .. doctor prescribed ofcourse! This is just one more story added to many that I have heard where the doctor dismisses the patient's (soon to be found correct) suspicion. In many of those stories, the doctor refused to entertain the idea and so the problem continued for many years. Just because someone is a doctor doesn't mean they are intelligent. Many did well in school solely because they have a good memory, but they don't have the intelligence to solve problems or analyze data properly. However, because they got high marks, they have that arrogance that they are always right. If your doctor won't listen to you, find a new doctor!

I’d love to hear you talk about the stages treatment has brought you through. I’ve been on TRT for two years and I’ve experienced periods where I feel like my mind is growing and repairing, even memories coming back that I had completely lost. Other phases of fat gain (you mentioned this) and periods of muscle growth & maturity, body re-composition etc. I’m curious how long these phases of change and growth continued for you? Or, are they still taking place? I know the body sees quick improvement when healing from damage or deficiency, I also know that it can sometime take a decade to see maximum reversal and improvement, alcoholism for example. I’m wondering if the repair phases/growth from TRT are this long lasting in your experience thus far. I’ve read many studies and papers but I’d love your personal insights. I’m 38 btw. My symptoms started when I was about 30. My levels declined about 15% a year until I stated treatment.

Thanks for the video. In Finland, doctors usually use "total T" when studying the amount of testosterone. I'm couple of weeks away from turning 29 and was just diagnosed with very low T and "hypogonadotropic hypogonadism". My total testosterone was 1.0-1.2 nmol/l which is super low. Doctor prescribed me Sustanon injections every 4 weeks. In the future I'm probably gonna switch to Nebido, which won't have to be injected so soon. My symptoms living with low T were and are still so bad, that treatment was critical to start now. I've always been a huge football (soccer) fan, but in 2020 I didn't play a single game. Partly because of corona, partly because of low T. Hopefully I'll get my life back in the coming months. I also hope to get my pituitary gland working again...

I was pretty muscular naturally with 15- 20 hr a week of iron. Several injuries and being stuck in bed for long stretches as a result over last 10 years. Now I have struggles with weight Gain and depression. I've felt suicidal and have a whole list of problems now. My Dr won't check my T levels because I still have some muscle left and thinks I either took gear or have a high natural level. I'm going to try to get mine tested again. Stay healthy dude, and and do what it takes to stay mentally healthy too as you are already. P.S. blocking videos or channels based on anything other that sexually explicit or violent content seems like a violation to the uploader. But that's another topic.

If your asking what I think your asking, taking 140 or 150 test cip, it will probably get your levels in the 600 to 800 range. It's a 1:1 thing or you would see guys on trt taking 700mg of test just to get 700ng per dcl total testosterone. If I were you I'd get bloodwork done at LabCorp or quest diagnostics and pay out if pocket, its usually around 100 dollars for a total test/free testosterone test. Do this before you go to your doc again, so if your levels are low you can show him the numbers, then he will order a few other tests in succession to make sure. If you want the most accurate results, you need to get your bloodwork done before 10am and be fasted for at least 12 hours before your blood draw. Drinking water is ok. Good luck man, hope this helps.
