In this clip, 600 Breezy gave his take on Larry Hoover renouncing all affiliation with the Gangster Disciples. He said that Hoover did this before but not as explicit. He thinks that Hoover is doing this as a last ditch effort to get out of prison and spend his remaining years with his family. However, people continuing to claim GD while simultaneously calling to “Free Larry Hoover” reflects bad on him.

He’s right. I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago and I can vouch that almost every black kid in the 90s and 2000s was claiming to be a GD. So if any kid would commit a crime they would pin it on the GDs and pretty much add to Larry Hoover’s time.
