The rich & powerful have a different set of rules to live by. Our laws don’t apply; they use power or money to buy their way around them. Corporations, big pharma, big oil, private prisons...lobbyists get laws passed not the people. Until we get dark money out of politics corporations will continue to purchase our politicians and our government. We still have our voting power. Vote!

Then again, Congress and Senate need information from all important parts of the country, including large businesses. So they also need contact persons. My suggestion would be to finance congresspeople and senators by tax money, providing them with a fixed amount of money for their office. And then have strict regulations for donations, including full transparency.

No one individual ever gets in trouble. We only name the business involved. We fine the business. The individuals working within the business who actually make the decision to commit crime get away with crime. So what the justice department fined a business? Where's the criminal management getting in trouble? Big pharma, big banks, big oil...it's all the same. I see these people in the justice department who go after the business and not the individuals running the business as short sighted and doing much less than they actually should be doing.

Sara Marcoux we are talking about a different strain of drugs here. In Portugal they decriminalized the consumption and channeled the money otherwise spent on busting users , into treatment, on the addiction of recreational drugs. The Portuguese Law Enforcement still does bust and seize illegal drugs trafficking. So what they did was to decriminalize possession of small quantities and offer treatment to those caught. Get your facts right

@ASCENDANTGAMERSAGE
@ASCENDANTGAMERSAGE 3 жыл бұрын
Because those who are unable to educate themselves are not able to protect themselves from predatory doctors. Chances are that you can't educate yourself either even if you have access to the relevant papers because the relevant studies require too large a medical knowledge to properly interpret. In addition, even if you could interpret them, it would be a huge time burden on yourself. Their job is to help us not harm us and the enforcement of regulation is forcing the doctors to do their job instead of purely pursuing money.

As long as bribery is allowed to exist under the guise of labels such as lobbyism, or such obscene political ideas as "Corporations are people and money is speech", we will continue to have a government of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations. This is only re-exposing the flaw that existed in the American experiment in democracy since 1773. Women were treated less than in history. The acceptance of slavery and the deplorable treatment of indigenous people are two other examples. But it goes deeper than that States were inducted in the union only after it was majority caucasian. While at the same time they follow the bill of rights and the constitution that states all women and men are equal. The most glaring problem is evident in our construction that omits who owns and distributes our most important and most powerful commodity -money. Banks, yes our central bank which is privately owned, loans money to the US government each year. Yes your public officials are bought that you vote to put in office. Imagine that! WORST-->> Politicians needs money to run for office and these same private bankers that were not elected loan money to our government AT INTEREST. are you surprised at this 60 min. disclosure. If it wasn't so serious I would laugh. What a joke on us. Yes that means you even if you are privileged or not.

Scott M Bernie is a choker. He’d rather keep his Senate Seniority and his job. So much for stepping into a soap box. At least Ralph Nader went to the bitter end when he was on the ballot, even when knowing he would lose the battle.

Ite completely idiotic to pretend as if the companies that were hired by doctors to sell drugs are the most responsible. Just a slimy way to get around going after the sackler family directly. Pathetic

Every American in America needs to see this. It’s real simple America. In America. Money will always be power Money will always Trump every situation in life you are uncomfortable with. Trickled down from who is going to get the 1 cent penny ride on the horse. The kid who has a penny.
