I’ve had a dinan stage 2 n55 355 and a jb4 335i stage 2 but honestly my friend’s stock m2 was the most fun I’ve ever had in any car and I had a fully built Porsche 944 turbo and that was a super fun car. I can’t wait to get an m2 with some tunes in my hand. Both are real German cars to the fullest

@@TheSpeedAddiction And the downpipe is probably catless, I suppose. It's likely the biggest change in sound you can have on the N55 M2.

Bmw stock exhaust are tinnny and high pitched. As soon as you dump their muffler things get better

@@infiniteuniverse1757 Wouldn't call the sound of an N55 M2 tinny. Maybe at high revs but in low to mid revs that thing makes quite some noise. A very deep howl and thunderous burbles. Sure, nowhere near this one but still very sexy.

The M2 is a bit different, because I'm generally talking ab the stock 1/2/335i/x5 with the n55

Christian exactly ! With the m2 you can get for both engines if you like the platform of the 2 series. Engines more than enough and sounds to choose from. I personally preferred the S55 due to its real M like engine and the bi turbo which has so much air upwards for tuning either with software or both software and bigger turbos. You easily can go on 700 PS which is still stabile for the engine. I really love my m2 competition. I like it more than the 4 series as it’s just smaller and a bit more aggressive looking and more agile.

Weisswurst Frühstück S55 was a great engine. I love N/A engines but it’s hard to beat the amount of hp the bottom end of an n54 can handle. I plan on going stage 2 pure since I just got index 12 injectors

@@TheSpeedAddictionI'm being 100％ serious, but I get what your saying but than again It'g going to be my first car and I want something to be proud driving, something small nibble because I live in NYC and something that can be tuned and makes those nice pops and bang while pushing impressive numbers.

I get that my channel is all about speed but It takes experience to be able to safely drive fast. I had a couple of accidents when I first started driving and I’d be dead if I was driving an M2. An M2 is a dream car for many, let alone a first car. If you have the self control to drive slowly until you get a couple of years of experience, I’d recommend it - but honestly, it would be better for you to start in a slower, cheaper car. If you do get an M2, take it to a racetrack to drive fast. I’m not trying to put a downer on you but I want to respectfully give my 100% honest opinion.

It’s not a dedicated track car or a race car by any means - but the owner has configured the rebound damping and suspension geometry for track use - it has Bridgestone RE-71Rs and track focused brake pads with a higher heat range.

It’s a great question! The M2 Competition has the S55 engine, that was also used in the 2015-2020 M3 & M4. Its an extremely tunable engine. A M2 Competition can be made to be more powerful than this older M2 with just E85, downpipes and a tune. Upgrading the turbos on a M2 can produce up to 800whp!

The Speed Addiction No doubt it's very fast and reliable therefore most car enthusiasts including me prefer a manual transmission therefore it's far more enjoyable to drive and have more control over the car

I understand your point. I learned to drive in a manual and owned only manuals for my first 15 years of driving. However, the industry has changed. Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren don’t even sell manuals anymore. Personally, I prefer an auto in higher horsepower cars.

The Speed Addiction Well yea the industry changed but I respect the car companies that still manufacture manual transmission cars like BMW or Honda

Because these transmissions are amazing. You will likely see them in alot of future vehicles among all manufactures
