@@Goodezilla yes mate, its the bearing that rotates on the end of the clutch fork when depressed on the pressure plate 👍🏻

Yeah could be the throwout. My Forester did almost the same thing at different clutch pedal positions. Hope it's only that. The sound of your car never gets old. Lol that car that tailed you. He had no chance.

I'm on the final stages of my build. Right now trying to source ptfe hoses that are premade for fueling. Thinking of doing 8an feed to the rail and 6an return since the fuel regulator is 6an anyway. She sounds good man, my first mod to the car was PRP coils because mine would break up in the higher gears like a misfire. I think 2 coils were newer than the rest from Japan. When you stepped on it and roared away, that's the feeling I live for, that's one reason why I'm building up. When people want to disrespect my personal space bubble by tailgating, I'd give them some flames and run away. Now I'll have the power to stay away.

input shaft bearing and throw out are my guesses. I always chuckle when you have the cam inside during your drives. The wide angle makes it look as if you drive with the gangster lean at all times lol

Real difficult to say but it’s definitely either clutch release bearing or first motion shaft. If there is no noise when you drive then release bearing. Taking the box out isn’t too hard at all on the floor. I get two trolley jacks(one under the tail shaft bearing and one under the transfer case) and one g box Jack at the front. Pull it back and rotate the transfer box downwards. BTW my 6266 conversion is v nearly done. Thanks for the advise on the channel.

Awesome video as always 👌 My FD rx7 has a twin disk os giken clutch like yours and on really cold days it does that sound Do you have the os giken pull to push conversion?

No conversion... Its all stock style. This clutch came in the car so it's old and worn but still holds the power. I'm thinking either input shaft bearing or throwout bearing.

that sounds alot like something another guy was talking about on my FB page something along the lines of a peace of the input shaft cover had to be shortened for the new OSG triple plate

Case Front Cover is the part Just an idea it has not been confirmed to be the problem as of yet but its the same sound with the clutch in the same positions for the sounds to happen.

@@HOPSONusmc thank you for the info...I've had this clutch for a long time (OSG Twin plate) and it didn't make this noise in the beginning. I think something is worn or coming loose :(

The ARP flywheel bolts you put in were they the stock length for the RB26 or the RB25? I am also building/built an R32 GTR and found out the stock length ARP flywheel bolts for the RB26 are a thread too long for an aftermarket clutch. You need to use bolts that are made for an RB25 as they are a little bit shorter. Mine made the same sound and it was the flywheel was loose on the crank. when you push the clutch in the sound goes away because it is pushing the flywheel back onto the crank. I bought the bolts for a RB26...they tightened down all the way...didn't see any gap. It hasn't made the noise since putting the engine back in...it's developed over time.

@@Goodezilla Ya mine was the same, when I tightened the flywheel down it looked good and had no play. But when I took the tranny off I found the whole fly wheel and clutch had play, and the guide pin on the crank shaft was broken. My guess is the guide pin holds it tight until it breaks then because the bolts are only like 1 thread to long there is play. definitely worth checking. Turns out I was doing 609 WHP pulls with a loose flywheel.

Have you driven a 350z? How does the 32 sound compared to a Z if you have driven one?

I haven't driven one, but they are completely diff sounds. VQ in a 350 is a V6 and the RB in the Skyline is I6 (inline 6). So the sounds are very different in my opinion.

I'm running 25ish psi and standard gearbox with OSG twin plate clutch.

I suspect it’s a throw out bearing, possibly a pressure plate.

I worked for a transmission mechanic for about 3 months and my uncle’s been a transmission mechanic for 40+ years. You could bring it by his shop and have him check it if you’d like. Just let me know if you do would love to see the car in person.
