@URHYNS6 күн бұрын
Hey bro, you’ve got a much better time in that if you can stitch it all together. Word to the wise, throw that baby catch can in the bin and get yourself a much bigger one. At least double in size. Dahtone Racing in Australia make a really neat unit and also RIPS Racing in New Zealand. Worth the money and you should have this issue. Also part vented, part return to sump. Don’t worry about the old methanol in oil myth. I mean, as long as you’re changing your oil every 5,000KM which you should be doing anyway, you’ll be fine. Heaps of us with big power here in Australia run them this way. Good luck mate.
@56wb56a8 күн бұрын
Hey so on another comment you said that later you plumbed the catch can to the intake pipe. Is that before intercooler or after intercooler? Also would there be a check valve from hose going from catch can to the intake pipe?
@Goodezilla8 күн бұрын
I never ended up routing the hose to the turbo inlet pipe. I just did a vent to atmosphere setup and kept it that way.

Hello from the UK, Mr Goode! What kind of cleaning and prep did you do to the block and head before reassembly? I’m assuming you didn’t take the head to a shop to skim again as part of this fix (trapped plastic, head off, new valve, back together)? Thanks in advance dude.
@Goodezilla12 күн бұрын
@@utsavmamtora7503 Hey! Yeah, I didn't take it back to a shop for this. Since it was a new build with less tham 1k miles on it, there really wasn't much of anything to have to clean. The head gasket surface wiped up easy with some brake cleaner.

So does the orientation of the CAS bracket matter? I have the PRP bracket and the race bracket i notice i can rotate like the stock CAS. I have mounted the PRP sensor on the exhaust camshaft and pointed the metal plate with the long post facing TDC. If i was to rotate the sensor bracket would that effect anything?
@Goodezilla2 ай бұрын
You can have it wherever you want to begin with. But once you set base timing then it needs to stay in the position. it would move timing just like the stock CAS if you move it after setting the base timing.

Got it all wired up and running. I have the elite 2000 with the NSP and PRP race series kit but had something happened when i locked timing to 20 degrees matched it with the time marks TDC angle was 332 degrees. But unlocked and tried to crank and nothing lol. Got it set to 700 degrees TDC and she fires up when i lock the degrees at 20 degrees and when i unlock timing. Think the elite ECUs like to see angles above 500 ish. I was about 360 degrees off even though when i locked timing it was at 20 degrees

A good informative and super easy to understand video. My question is why? I may consider doing this, but not sure that there is much difference. Are the brakes that much bigger than the stock 32 gtr calipers? Thanks 👍
@Goodezilla2 ай бұрын
Hey thank you. The 350z front Brembo calipers and rotors are the same size as the R33 front Brembo calipers and rotors. So I figure, if Nissan deemed it a worth while upgrade over the previous non-Brembo design, then it's probably a good upgrade.
