Two clips of the Duchess at Warrington. The first on 27/3 with the positioning move from Butterley to Hellifield and the second on 28/3 with the Cumbrian Mountain Express returning to Crewe.

Thanks Austin another class video and a lovely loco. Can't believe the quality of the picture - superb presentation. To my mind the Duchess is an under appreciated piece of kit. Chris

Thank you, I love steam at night, probably no opportunities now until autumn.

Thanks Bob, I felt I had unfinished business at Warrington as last October a departing Voyager got in the way of the magnificent Duchess. I think the camera can be tweaked to provide better night shots.

Making my way through your archives Austin, and great to see one of fav locos at WBQ! I was tickled by the elderly lady taking a video and clearly enjoying herself, and I noticed my pal Steve71p on the departure shot. I prefer The Duchess in crimson lake and I loved the night-time shot of her powering through the station where the lighting does give good conditions for night shots. Thanks again. Ken

Thanks Ken, I agree about the Crimson Lake livery, it does seem to suit the class so well. Bank Quay isn't too far away from where I live and the crews often seem to put on a good performance when passing through
