A neighbor building a new camp nearby asked me to open up the driveway. It was only plowed once at the beginning of winter. There was a small base under the snow but still easy to dig into the ground so I tried to leave a few inches of snow. This is a narrow drive with no lawns/grass to dig up. I know this because I am doing the ground work there. There was around 3 1/2 feet of snow to push out of the way. This is an unedited video.

It’s amazing the push power that machine has with chains on our komatsu just slips and slides but with chains I bet it would be a beast that’s a ton of snow it’s pushing it like it’s not there

Yeah all loaders are pretty much useless with out chains in snow. I only ran my chains a few times last year and learned my lesson, I left them on all year this year.

Awesome job. I would do it for free just to be able to run that big loader as long as someone paid for the fuel.

No need to abuse a machine it will just cost more money to fix. I have had the same Case 1845C skid steer for 18 years and it still looks and operates the same as the day I bought it.

always hated plowing with the bucket....Ran a 914g cat with no chains or diff lock for small town in northern maine for about ten years, thing would get stuck on a turd....had to make 5 times as many passes since it always dumped off the side of the bucket, not bad for a narrow drive like this one though.

I agree, bucks are not much fun to plow with. In this case it was a yard that had not been plowed all winter. Trying to open that yard up with my plow would have been a much tougher job. The ground was not frozen underneath and the snow was pretty dense.

it is just plain old fun anyway i think to plow with a bucket !! you put the cutting edge of the bucket down and lift up a little on the wheel and you have a giant skate loooool i almost took out a fence while i was trying to remove some ice last week lool i had a volvo 150G on summer tires loool it was just plain old fun -_- not lool

TB . The plows I am familiar with had what we called shoes (skies) you set to diff heights , first plow of the fall we set them on the floor with the plow on a 1/2” piece of ply wood , that left a small amount of snow on the road & did not remove the gravel

Having snow dump pile locations is a important part of snow clearing and to have a spot to turn around at if fuel gets low to quickly turn around and head for fuel
