SHOWTIME presents a rare opportunity to move into the most sought after cruising brand on the market. With an almost two year wait for a new build, this captain maintained and no expense spared Fleming is undoubtedly the way to go! SHOWTIME is every owner/operator's dream come true.
The Fleming 65 was introduced in mid-2005 in response to a strong demand for an intermediate Fleming between the 55 and the 75. Her layout is very similar in concept to the 55 but the 65 with a displacement almost 70% greater offers much more interior and deck space than her smaller sibling.

I think the fleming 65 is an awesome owner-operator boat. Beautiful shape and love the woodwork inside. I have noticed on the newer ones they have made the ladder to the upper deck a molded stair section which in my opinion is much better. Beautiful boats.

The Fleming is a gorgeous boat. That said and recognizing that this might be viewed as a minor detail, but I am underwhelmed by the simple, basic sliding bolts they use to secure the doors on the Portuguese Bridge as well as the door hinge that is used. I have seen a review of Nordhavn 68. The hinge and bolt system used on that Portuguese Bridge door is comparable to what you might see on a safe at a Bank. For a yacht of this magnitude and at this price point, I would expect Fleming to use something far more robust. It doesn't change my overall view of the Fleming 65 and 78. They are superb. I just like to see every decision reflect the same level of pursuit of excellence. Those little hinges fall far below a pursuit of excellence unlike everything else Fleming chose for their boats.

Great yacht here. Although you (Denison yachting) do feature some amazing vessels, I suggest taking a few notes and adopt the Aquaholic (on KZfaq) review format. Most of their features are a contiguous shot making the content flow and commentary very concise. He manages to show every inch of the boat while explaining all the relevant details in a similar time frame to your videos. Everyone loves some good theater and a beautiful boat but when attracting buyers it's all a matter of conveyance and emotion. It can be difficult to explain what someone is missing but it's very easy to show what they're missing, especially when you have products like this. Hope sales do well going into this summer. Cheers 🥂

Those one-shot walkthroughs are terrible, homie. It's not a good flow, and lacks the ability to convey the amount of space that Denison's format allows. The slow zooms on this channel are fantastic at showing detail, and don't give the viewer motion sickness.
@tomhalpin9495

@@stevenhancock2822 Denison's videos are certainly more of a production with drone shots and the like but Aquaholic has managed to showcase plenty of 100ft + yachts while still giving the viewer a sense of scale. I believe it is a good flow. I enjoy the one-shot, concise, pov tours and don't care too much for the additional editing/ commentary from the sales reps. De gustibus non est disputandum.

@@joe08867 Fleming has used MAN diesels for years. The only Fleming with Cummins as the standard engine is the 55. Everything else uses MAN R6-800,i6-800,v8-1000 and v12-1550. Fleming designed hulls are semi-displacement and will get up on plane out of the water.

I can't find specifications of the range in the separately linked specs, or within this video. Of course, there is a chance that I missed the information in either resource; would anyone be so kind as to point out where the information is, or to point me in the right direction where I can find it?

Look on p.38: www.flemingyachts.com/assets/resources/Fleming-Brochure-Web-Version.pdf It isn't quite transatlantic unless you add bladders, but it wouldn't be hard to find space and get them hard-lined into the fuel manifold.

I really struggle with Flemings. Nice enough boats..well made with good redundancy but boy do they price them in a different league to their direct competition. We were looking at a 58 a couple of years ago (i nearly spat my coffee out when told it was £3.2million used ) which I believe is only about a foot narrower in the beam than the 65. The salon felt really cramped because of the over wide side decks and simply wasnt a comfortable place to be....so congratulations on making the 65s salon look enormous...perhaps a little less wide angle on the photos would give a more realistic impression of the space. I appreciate you are trying to do a sales job on it but if i pitched up after seeing your video to be greeted by the reality of what happened when we looked at the 58 after watching videos...ie utter disappointment in actually how narrow and cramped the living space was.... I would not be happy. Bering, Nordhavn, OuterReef (to name but a few) all offer equivilency packages..or indeed better packages..for half to a third of the price. One of the biggest issues for me though is no internal access to the engine room. I really wouldnt want to be doing regular engine room checks during long passages by having to access from the cockpit in high seas. Seems like a massive oversite to me. Nice boat...but better options out there at that price point imo.
@fredjones7705
@fredjones7705 2 жыл бұрын
I asked Mr Fleming why no internal engine access. He graciously responded that it wasn't possible to provide such an access without letting the engine room odor enter the boat. I worked for a hydraulic outfit in Seattle and I can attest to the engineering excellence of the Flemings. They are superior (engineering wise) to Nordhavn or Outer Reef. Never worked on a Bering. I'd keep the side decks, don't really use the salon that much, most people don't.
@bassmandudge
@bassmandudge 2 жыл бұрын
@@fredjones7705 hi..interesting. I think I'd take a little smell and the option of being able to access from inside during high seas on long passage. I prefer the safety angle..besides you can still access the engine rooms on the competition from outside if thats your prefered option. Just seems like a boat designed for really exploring should have it as an option. I am based in the UK so i feel the salon would get a fair bit of use until heading to warmer climes! Not exactly set up for long evenings in the cockpit.... brrrr.....
@fredjones7705
@fredjones7705 2 жыл бұрын
@@bassmandudge Mr Fleming did indicate that the smell objection usually originates at the Admiralty. If you're going to pay 4 million dollars for a 65 foot boat then she's gotta smell good. I replaced a pump on one (65) in Friday Harbor then spent 3 dys aboard as a guest. I've been on trials and trips quite a bit but nothing compares to that Fleming. Owner liked cruising about 12 knots which I think is a bit fast due to all the floaties we have around here but it was absolutely quiet and vibration free...just a different level of quality. If Nordhavn's a Cadillac then Fleming's a Rolls.
