Hello Jessica and Brian and Melissa. Great info on specific exercises on Parkinson. When you have Parkinson's disease (PD) exercise is as important as taking your medications on time, every time. Exercise helps to maintain strength, flexibility, balance, and cognitive acuity so you can continue to do the things you have to do and the things you love to do.❤

I’ve been watching this blog for sometime now and it’s great and love it. I don’t know if I’m writing too late, but I have a question about what Melissa mentioned regarding the high- intensity training. Did she say 150 or 175 minutes or she meant heart rate bpm? Thanks

My biggest issue with going to the gym and working out is motivation. I used to have motivation but since Parkinson's came into my life, my motivation level is to almost zero. I do still ride my bike around the neighborhood. I tried to get four laps in per day. The motivation is my main issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you from Tustin California.

How about connecting with a friend that would exercise with you? Accountability is always beneficial. I know I am much more likely to exercise when someone is expecting me to be there. And it challenges you more! Start small, gotta crawl before you can walk, walk before you can run, etc.... Once you get into a routine it will get much easier, and you will feel SO much better!
