I love that the Komodo is a box. It feels like my old Hasselblad. The design of it is clean and is also much better in the hands than my red dragon. Its also lite and small enough to pop out anywhere. I hope the dsmc3 line follows this design with the ff and mf sensors

Here's a suggestion, click pictures from the RED cameras/other mirror less cameras and them in the smartphone camera awards so that we know what the picture is actually supposed to look like, I generally avoid voting because I don't know how colour accurate that picture it

Ima be honest, i rented the pocket 6K a week ago with the Sigma 18-35, and the BRAW was...less than friendly to work with(and I have a beast of an editing machine). Especially if you don't have the luxury of color grading log for EVERY PROJECT, the amount of color profiles it gives you if you don't want to shoot BRAW are laughable. It seemed like the perfect camera to me, but I was so disappointed with the end color and how much of a hassle BRAW felt to me as opposed to other kinds of log/RAW. I will say though, the menu system on that thing is *UNBEATABLE*. Period.

I don't know what's the RED camera, I will never buy it but I really liked Two things in this video: 1- The fact that Red Digital Cinema Camera Company decided to not only their new product to MKBHD but actually gave him especial one with his name on it. 2- Marques has the guts and the ability, to tell the truth even if the manufactories give him some sort of recognition or honorary.

The Red Komodo looks awesome, the red colour science is pretty amazing!! Would love for them to make it usb c out to a SSD as well, but that is a long shot. It looks more like a medium format stills camera, especially viewing the screen from the top like that. Lightweight enough to attach to a ronin mx and mount to a Matrice 600 for some awesome aerial shots as well. I love it already and I guess if your the type of person who wouldn't get it because of the autofocus, then stick to your mirrorless cameras.

Looks like cameras are moving into this form factor. Look at the Sony FX6, similar form factor, giving us the high end video quality in a smaller body. Love it!
