I understand the complicated issues regarding immigration. My statement is about the criminalization of those seeking asylum in our country. There are those who can never go back home. They would face danger or even death. I’m not advocating open borders, but the current administration has made it impossible to get asylum in our country. What I seek is compassion for those much less fortunate than us.

One of my grandmother's grew up in a dugout. The other was so much Cherokee (or some other) she had flat feet so flat she had to wear nothing but moccasins her whole life. I was mixed but born blond headed and blue eyed and was beat up by surfers, greasers, ropers, stomps, gringos, Mexicans, Chiconos, whites, kids from Republican hoods, and kids from Democrat hoods. (Kids of all ages even up to 50). I was spit on, made fun of, haized, strangled. Something everyday.. And most milleanials who grew up underprivileged had it better that I -- the ones who grew up on 24/7 Disney, video games, drugs, free sex, abortions on demand, pills for ADHD and cell phones.
