Matt I was a student at NGSW in 92-93, I remember your slide class very well, and I enjoyed it and learned a lot from you. Your skill, versatility, clarity and awesome disposition still is a great pleasure to see. My buddy Glen Briggs was talking about his friend Matt for years, and it wasn't until he said your full name that I realized the connection, so I've been checking out all your videos on here. Glad to see you're still the same inspirational friendly guy that I remember. Best to you Matt!

I have loved Matt Smith ever since I discovered him on a page of a rock magazine decades ago! (He had a full head of hair and a full beard in his photo) The lesson was called “Passion and Pen. Altered Tunings”. Opened a whole new world for me, to which I am so grateful! Thanks, Matt!

Matt Smith is THE TEACHER !! I have a disc by him from years ago when I was getting into Blues. I STILL drag it out and play it just because of his "style". It's like visiting with an Old Friend again and again. Thank you Matt for the lessons and helping an old Texas boy get into blues. Love it. When jamming somebody nearly always asks "where did you learn that ?" I just smile and say another Buddy of mine taught me ! Take time to learn from him. You won't regret a minute and like me you will come back over and over again and again. Keep picking !
