This guy is really good, at 18 he's already a stronger/bigger then most of his adult peers in the CBA(7'1'', >250lbs). He has elite level rim protection too with his 7'5'' wingspan and really good vision. He makes some crafty passes every game and avg 3rd highest assists per game in the U19 worldcup. He also has great footwork and you see him routinely put the ball on the floor and handle it all the way to the rim comfortably and scores with his spin moves and up and unders and jump hooks. If he can work on is jumper he will be a NBA level player. Reminds me of 18yo Alperun Sengun.

watch him play the last few NBA summer league games under the China Team, he is capable of entering the NBA and developing into a rotational player. Hope to see him in next year's NBA draft. All the best Hansen!

He definitely knows how to play, a real natural. Will make a great pairing with Zhou Qi on the front line. And if Fanbo can get his stuff together, the CNT might actually be decent again.

Perfect fit for the Kings! Yang can come off the bench and learn from Sabonis for a couple of years and when Sabonis ready for a new contract Yang should be able to step into the starting line up and blossom, maybe he can finally turn the Kings into a good d3fensive team.

ngl I honestly really hope he either plays in Europe or play in the NCAA rather than staying in the CBA. Zhou Qi I think was as good of a prospect if not even a better prospect but he just didnt live up to the hype mainly because of attitude issue. Although I would say Yang Hansen is much more physical than Zhou Qi. I just hope he can stay humble and actually grinds himself up top.

The only thing I don’t like about him is that despite his size and footwork he rarely finishes with dunks, kinda like Jokic. I’d say his limited verticality will make it hard for him to be a great rim protector and shot blocker. Other than that I’d love for Boston to use the 54th pick on him ans let him develop a few years. His passing skills may make him a good sidekick to Porzingis when Al retires. I hope they use the first rounder on a rim runner athlete like Adam Bona as we lost some of that when we traded The Timelord.

For your information, the primary reason that Yi Jianlian did not live up to expectation is because of age controversy. The official reported birth year of Yi is 1987, but there are numerous evidence suggesting that his actual birth year is 1984。Faking age is actually a very common thing in Chinese sport in the early 2000s。Because of the age controversy, NBA became less interested in Chinese players as a result of age speculation。

I swear you know nothing about basketball - "He won't get bulldozed in the paint by jokic or embiid". Jokic is destroying the DPOY and you don't think he would 'bulldoze' an undrafted 18 year old? And this same 18yo is ready, RIGHT NOW, to DOMINATE the NBA? Like you expect him to make an all-star team? Do you know nothng about basketball at all?
