Great video! I have this CTS3 installed on my 99 7.3l. The only quirk I had when setting it up was sometimes it froze. So I just unplugged it and retried. The customization on this monitor is endless. Im glad I bought it!

I have the CST 2. Im able to see my EOT on my display. I'm running a program for my tune. Last thing for me is a turbo upgrade. I have a 2000 powerstroke. Best fuel economy since i bought the truck. BTW 6 speed manual allows me to hit 20+ mpg. Sorry for the auto drivers that make those claims. 😊👍

This is the first Powerstroke on KZfaq with the new cts3 I just got mine today for my 6.0. Works perfect and everything

forgive what may be an ignorant question. i have a 2001 7.3 stock, no tuner, no mods. i like the idea of the edge to keep an eye on things that dont appear in the gauge cluster. what sort of data can you get off the OBD2 port without say drilling and tapping the extra gauge sensors etc that edge provides?

I think the reason they advertise as 96 and newer is because 96 is when the government required all manufacturers to use obdII ports in vehicles, I’m pretty sure they still used obdII in earlier models but 96 and up is guaranteed to have obdIi

Also, buddy of mine has a cts2 with a tune switcher in his SD 7.3 and I was curious as to why I hardly ever see that anywhere else.

Did it show EGT, boost and trans temp? I have 01 7.3 and would like to know before I order one of these of mechanical gauges instead.

If you buy one be sure to Update it before doing anything! Will save you a-lot of headache..Lol it's really awesome unit like it .

I have a cts2 on my 94.5 7.3 and it works flawlessly.

I hooked up one of those cheap Amazon backup cameras to my Cts2 and it actually works great.

Will it show egt and boost straight out of the box i’m trying to decide between normal gauges or a monitor for my 2000 7.3 i’m going to be doing injectors in the next month and tune

Can you do an injector balance test on your powerstroke with this display? I know it works on a duramax but I've heard it only worked for certain models.

glad you got yours to work. i had one right after it came out and it worked for about an hour, then froze and wouldnt connect to my truck anymore. edge went through it remotely and couldnt find anything wrong, sent it back and got a refund and went with mechanical gauges instead.

I love the old obs ford's but in florida a top speed of 85 just won't cut it on the highway, if I swapped the transmission for something with more top end speed this would work for showing my speed and everything?

The only problem I have is I can’t figure out how to change it to manual transmission but my throttle position works no problems when starting it and the gauge cutting off

Does this come with boost readings? Just from plug and play with the OBD?

I have 97 f350 powerstroke bought cts2 programmer an installed just the gauge set up. Well tried an it wiped computer. Sent it back an got this with the revolver chip. Does this install anything on the computer for the gauges. I don't need another trip to shop to have it reprogrammed again.

I have a completely factory 97 7.3 and am thinking about getting one of these. They look absolutely awesome. The CTS3 doesn't replace a tuner like a Hydra though, correct?

I see a lot of comments on here about dose this work on 94 95 powerstrokes. Dose anyone actually know if it works. I have a 95 and it powers up the cts3 but the gauges will not load. Just wondering if its something wrong with the truck or if it just won't work. Any help would be great. Thanks

Does your CTS3 actually read codes? Mine can clear a CEL but says there are no codes.

Does it read boost, EGT, and trans temp? Those are the main thing I want. Also do you have your tunes on that or do you need a hydra or ts performance switch?

I've loved having my cts2 over the past few years. Looks like the CTS3 is about the same functionality wise but it definitely looks like a nice upgrade as far as the screen interface goes. The biggest problem I have with mine (isn't a real problem) is if I turn the key on starting the bootup on the monitor and then turn the key back off before the monitor fully boots up it will kind of cut out and the monitor will just stay on with an error screen until you plug it and plug it back in. It won't turn back off on its own. Usually happens when you just go to move the truck real quick or you just turn the key on to roll up the windows or something. I'd be curious to see how the cts3 does with that.

600$ into a screen and the egt etc. wire kit or buy pillar led gauges with the pillar plastic for 300$ with gauges

Would you recommend the CTS3 to use rather than the pillar pod gauges ? I have a quad pod now with boost, egt, HPOP, and fuel pressure but not a huge fan of the pillar pod now that I’ve seen something like this. Also do you happen to know if it will work for a 94.5 7.3? When you set it up I'm having an issue it keeps putting my boost and other gauges to be measured by volts do you know how to change that?

I just have one question, bought the monitor about a week ago for my 01 7.3 and am excited to install it, only question I got is should I take the monitor out when the ambient temperature get low? More or less will cold temperatures hurt the monitor?

The reason it it 96 and older is because OBDII didnt wasnt mandatory until 96, meaning its not compatable with OBDI vehicles

Does this cts3 have pre set tunes already installed ? I would like to get the hydra for 7.3 put also would like something to monitor all my gauges so if this has both I would get this ? Or is cts3 just a monitor ?

My cts2 would randomly shut off all the time I’ve been told that it’s the OBS PCM that causes it .

Do I have to buy the egt kit separately? How easy is to installed the kit? Or would it read without the kit?

What about the cts3 revolver anyone have any experience with it of 96

I recently installed my display and it is glitching badly. It powers off when I’m driving. When I turn the vehicle off for the Night the display stays on until morning. Often I have to reset everything up like it was a new installation. I’m not sure how to fix these issues
