Aww Rob, your story about the shadow of the collosus was actually moving. I'm going off to college soon and I'm so nervous. My parents don't even want me to being my ps4 and wants me to quit gaming because "it's for children." But gaming is my passion and I refuse to stop, it's helped me get through tough times in my life with a neglectful father keeping me isloated from other people and how that has caused me to be socially awkward. Gaming is an inspiration to me and I use it as a form of coping as well as entertainment. If it wasn't for gaming I probably wouldn't be here right now

As soon as the trailer for the spyro trilogy released I immediately went to the ps store and preordered it those games were my first experiences on PlayStation it was so fun and I can't wait to play again as an 18 year old

Resident Evil 1 had one of the best remakes ever. It added new rooms to the mansion, new enemies in crimson heads, a new mechanic in burning zombie bodies so they couldn't come back. Can't believe it wasnt on the list.

Good to know that Rob is playing the original Shadow of colossus in his dorm room just like I did in 2006,the only difference is I'm in China.

Spyro 3 was my first video game I owned, which warmed me up for Ratchet & Clank I hold both franchises very close to my heart

The n64 and ps1 were my first video game consoles. I have so many good memories playing the games on those systems.

Rob, Ratchet and Clank is hands down my all time favorite childhood game that I, honestly, still play to this day. I can’t stop! It’s just so perfect!

My first time playing Shadow Of The Colossus, I was struggling with the depressing weight and constant anxiety of unemployment. I quit uni, and was hopping from hopeless job to hopeless job, some of which I quit, others I got fired with no explanation. I played Shadow Of The Colossus in that period, and I've never felt so personally touched by a game. That game taught me it's okay to feel lonely, depressed, vulnerable, I always have the power to make everything better.

SotC wasn't actually part of my childhood, since i didn't play it until after highschool, but it's still one of the greatest games i have ever played, so i'm happy.

Too bad none of these old games were out when I was a child. I was 23 when the 1996 Tomb Raider cane out.

I was so happy & beyond thrilled 2 c Spyro on the video caption & then b up 1st cuz it brought back such gr8 memories of days long ago, but never truly gone nor 4gotten!!! Spyro (Spyro the Dragon) was my very 1st PlayStation game (thou I playd it on my cousin's when I visited which was fairly often as I didn't have my own PlayStation or even the PS2 after it came out).... My 1st video game console was a purple Nintendo GameCube & my 1st (& all) games were Super Mario, some of the Sonic games, Mario Kart, Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast & Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup & all the other 4 Harry Potter games, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, Spyro: A Hero's Tail & Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time / Master Quest & The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Mario Party, all 3 Scooby-Doo games and Winnie the Pooh's Rumbly Tumbly Adventure. Then I switchd 2 & FINALLY got my 1st PlayStation ~ a PS3 slim & my 1st 2 PS3 games were Diablo III (Ultimate Evil Edition) & Skyrim (Legendary Edition)!! Then came the Mass Effect trilogy & all 3 Dragon Age games ~ Spyro helped ignite my absolute luv of all things dragons when I was a kid!!!

Awww... You hit 3 PlayStation exclusives (Spyro, Crash and Ratchet) but fail to mention the Jak & Daxter HD Remasters of 2012? I grew up on Spyro then graduated to the grittier world of Jak 2 as I grew older. It felt like a nice transition. Colorful and bouncy to dark and dystopian.

Spyro was one of my childhood game series. And the new one comes out on my birthday. I haven't payed full price for a game since the ratchet and clank remake(beat it multiple times back to back). This is the decade of nostalgia

I honestly gotta say while I am a Playstation fan, in my childhood I was mainly playing Nintendo 64 and later GameCube

The .hack//GU game is definitely my favourite remake. The moment you see your first 'Avatar' battle accompanied by that music just gives me instant chills and takes me back to being an early teen, having to get my PS2 modded with the game imported since it was never released here. That was definitely a great decision younger me had made.

Ratchet and Clank was my childhood, as well. It was so awesome that even my non video gaming father played them. He even went as far to play that much that he always got the RIDA first.

Tomb Raider 1 was my Dad's first game, and my first game was Spyro 2. And then on PS2, my Dad's first was GTA III, and mine was Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex. So I didn't really have a great first game on PS2, but I did get Jak and Daxter 1 as a second, so that was good.

The Halo 2 remaster (anniversary edition) is amazing too .... its actually my favorite remaster ever. Second place goes to Jak and Daxter followed by Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2. The Shenmue 1 & 2 HD remaster will be the crowning remake of my childhood.

Ratchet & Klank was the first time I ever played on a ps1/2. Fell so deeply In love with it too even DURING the console wars haha. Love u PSChannel.

my first game on playstation and actually my first video game ever was spyro. seeing that footage play out almost made me cry, the nostalgia was so powerful.

That skyrim easter egg you snuck in there was absolutely spot on. Literally my mum 2 inches from my door at 4 AM.

Well PS4 is not out of the game yet, I believe it still got 1-2 years worth of new and old games.

Yes, Ratchet and Clank was legitimately my first PS2 game when my Dad bought us the system. He also bought Hitman to go with it which I believe was the first one as well

I had never heard of ratchet and clank before I got it as my first game for ps3. Full frontal Assault was a beautiful entry to the world of ps3 graphics.

playing this games again is just going to be beautiful, I played all of them on ps1 ps2. I simply and truly can't wait to play these wonderful games on ps4.

Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando on ps2 was one of my first games ever. Like, one of the first two or three right next to Jak and Daxter and NFS: Hot Pursuit 2.

The Game was good, though i thought they went a bit too far into the other direction with Ratchet. Originaly, iirc, people considered him to much of a jerk. But in the remake... well the whole Quark Hero worshipping etc. didnt really feel correct either. I kinda hope they will continue with the Future series after Spider-Man though. I feel as if the story isnt finished yet

Ratchet and Clank was my first ever video game, soon to become my favourite franchise! i have every single game (including Secret Agent Clank). I remember in the first one i was always scared of Drek and the water level on Rilgar so i would ask my dad to do it for me haha. thanks for returning these memories to me. (even though i 100% the other day for like the 50th time)

Remakes and remasters have actually been very enjoyable. I'm glad they've done them. RE2 looks amazing, CoD 4 is so good (although the practise Activision went through, behind the IW disc AND selling the DLC separate...) Crash Bandi, Shadow of the Colossus... There's been so many great games I've replayed

Played Spyro at 18 years old for first time when I moved out and got a gift PS1 from a friend (2007). Had no idea what I was missing out out until then.

Ratchet n Clank was one of my highlights, and now I see it in my son as he loves playing the re-make, it's almost like seeing my childhood replay, helps being in HD too 🤓

Such a lot of awesome memories in those games :) I'd love to see a Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver remake. I poured a lot of hours into that wonderful game. At the time, the FMVs totally blew me away!

A remake of Crystal Castles from the Atari 2600 would be a childhood set of gaming memories being brought back, haven't played that since the late 1980s. Tough game.

I remember my mate had a ps2 with the OG Ratchet and Clank. It was the best game I've ever played up until that point even with the flippin' sewer bit. I also had the game on PSP and loved that as well. However I haven't got the ps4 version and I waiting to take a trip down Nastalgia Lane.

And here's me eagerly awaiting the MediEvil remake. :)

Hands down Bionic Commando Rearmed. The best remake ever made. It took all the good aspects of the original and added only good things (like being able to swap weapon and not needing to equip radio). I played the original so many times and rearmed started or was among the first of all the remakes that really did good.

I bought Crash N sane Trilogy today and the nostalgia is through the roof so being on the Spyro Reignited Trilogy (which is Pre Ordered!)

Wipeout Omega Collection. That game is seriously underrated and should have been nominated for best racing game of 2017

My first PS game was on the PS2, and it was Drakan: The Ancient's Gates. Never played any of the original Ratchet & Clank Games, did play a Spyro game but it broke and crashed. Now I am playing Ratchet & Clank on PS4, and am waiting for Spyro, already paid for it, just waiting on it now.

As my childhood predates the Playstation by roughly ten years, I'm sorta hosed nostalgia-wise :P Still waiting on that Raid on Bungeling Bay remaster (played that game until my eyes bled).

Resident Evil remake. The very first foray into the world of survival horror was awesome when if first came out, then the remake just made it something special. Well worth a mention I think.
