Bought sponge grips for my first motorcycle 30 years ago. Absolutely love and recommend them. I use a Ram mount for my phone and can recommend that also. It comes with a rubber strap as a secondary support to secure the phone. USE IT! A bumpy road can and will shake the phone free otherwise. I was 300 miles from home when I found myself with a broken phone.

Have you tried the throttle rocker? It's a small plastic spade that binds to the throttle with velcro. Instead of having to grip the throttle with your whole hand, you can nudge it down and hold it with the end of your palm. It is very relaxing for the right hand not to have to grip the throttle. I find these so useful that I even have one on a bike with cruise control.

Totally agree with the grip puppies, had mine on my bandit for the past five years, i ride all year round in the wonderful UK weather, they are only now getting ready to be replaced, as for fitting them over the oem grips, i use a tiny drop of washing liquid (little fingernail size at most) just to lubricate them one one edge and slide on, It's small enough to do the job and not slide around the grips after fitting :)

I've had grip puppies on my last 4 motorcycles as well. They resist the element of heat. It hovers around 50° Celsius for a few weeks in summer here in Abu Dhabi. Yes, my bike isn't in direct sun but other rubber items not in the summer disintegrate. Plus they're very comfortable for my larger-than-average paws.

My Grip Puppies are the best. Used soap and water to install and been riding an hour or more in rain with no issues, and they were long soaked through. Also I hear hair spray works well too. About 22,000 miles with them, so about a year commuting here in Florida. Best $20 I ever spent on my bike. Dulls vibrations also. 2017 BMW f700GS

Use the Ram Mt for some time now. The only stable phone holder I’ve found. The rest are great ideas as well. Ride safe my friend....

Good tips! Regarding the sidestand, I mounted an icehockey puck underneath my R1100GS's jiffy, so the 2 cm higher and quite a bit broader base to the jiffy was always on. Worked a charm, costs next to nothing and lasts years And.... now i see I was not the first to suggest a puck either hahaha Well, goes to show how great this idea is :-)

Hello RocketMan you are doing a very good job with the videos. I wanted to ask you. Αt the point where you put the RAM mounts you have no problem getting wet your phone from the rain?

The RAM grip is DEFINITELY worth it, I forgot to use the little rubber band thingy to help hold my phone down one time, and proceeded to hit 154 mph. Only after I stopped did I realize my phone was only held on by the X itself, and it still held hanging out in the wind at 150+. 11/10 would recommend

Ice hockey puck also works well as a stand pad, very cheap and easy to find.

As an alternative for your nr. 7 'jewelers dapping block' you might try an ice-hockey puck made of rubber at 25mm high, 75mm diameter for about two euros/pounds.

I got the horn covered in the US from Harbor Freight. They sell a dual 110 db horn set with relay for only 10 dollars. I replaced my thin sounding Smart Car's horn with it and was surprised how loud and good sounding the dual horns were. I plan to use the horn set on a Kawasaki Ninja 250R I'm buying.

those noco battery jumpers are a god send. i bought one after my van died on a job and i charged it last october, its now june and its held a full charge this whole time i just let someone use it the other day and its still got a full charge on it.

I use Grip puppies on my bike. I've found best way to put them on is to use hair spray. Slides on slick, dries sticky and wont budge.

The rubber block I feel the bike is at home on the kickstand and in the state I wish was in more (leaning)but here in Illinois the roads don't curve much. But for when I need a wider base for the sidestand I use about a 6in diameter piece of purge from an injection molding machine that I got from work. (Shhhhh)

Just to add, I used a hockey puck for my steep leaning heavyweight Victory X.C. For about $2. vs $18 for an extremely wimpy one from the manufacturer, Polaris.

The end closure of most scotch bottle packaging is a perfect kick stand pad.

I've never suffered from handlebar vibration. The Sound Bomb: great idea. I can't be bothered with trackers. Phone cradles. I use a pocket. Locking wheel nut caps: great idea. Battery booster: I've been meaning to get one for a couple of years. Kickstand blocks: I have a couple of them. Great channel.

Very interesting review and somewhat interesting to find that the rip-off merchants will charge up to £30 more on EBay for the Invoxia Bike Tracker! I thought that I was quite security savvy, but your comment about disc-locking the front wheel instead of the rear, makes so much sense, although I tend to see it more easily (that's my excuse!)That said; the Locking Wheel Nut Caps... where do I find them, please? I've looked everywhere (even Google!) and apart from brand-specific wheel nuts, or caps to protect the car locking wheel nuts, I've found nothing... By the way; I also have a Honda CB500X 2019 (if that helps at all).

Tip, if you can't find the jewlers block, I use an ice hockey puc. Made from recycled tyres, they're eco friendly.

Dapping block for 4 quid or a piece of thick plywood of the same dimensions for nothing from the local joiners. The spongy grips are a good tip though, I'll see about two of them.

I use a block of hard wood for the stand. It stops the bike sinking into the soft petrol soaked tarmac.

On another note: Angled wheelvalves, best €15 one can spend on their bikes, no more dicking around at the gasstation

Bikes not sentient beings...hm...not sure about that. Anyways, no grip puppies for me. I had a pair of heated grips installed on my old bike. As I have rather small hands, and now enjoy the skinny grips on my new bike. I really don't think I want thicker grips again, as these really annoyed and caused pain. I am well used to vibrations, coming from a Yamaha XT 600 E. Now I have a twin, really have get used to that - so smooth. The horn thingy is cool, but I might get into trouble here installing that.

I’d steer clear of the Ram mount - it’s a horrible solution and quad lock or sp connects solutions are much better. Also, you can use a rubber hockey puck as the kickstand pad. A tad cheaper than a sapling block. About $6

Why not use a hockey puck as a support for a side stand? It's 25 mm thick, 75 mm in diameter and very easy to buy.

As for the rubber block… My BMW R1200R is so upright on the side stand, it really scares me. I nearly always put it on the center stand as I feel a warm breeze could tip it over…

I use to work at AutoZone and that is what we use to jump customer cars who don’t want to buy a battery from there I also own the GB70 which is the bigger version of the GB40

Go to a hardware store and get a free piece of scrap wood. I've been using one for over 25 years to keep my bike's kick stand from sinking into hot asphalt parking lots and falling over in the extreme summer heat.
