BTW, spawn chunk will always be updated, so setting up a farm in it will yield grown carrots even if you're in singleplayer world and not near it

Me and my friend did something similar on our server where it was a race to 1 million carrots or sweet berries I was team seeet berries and I ended up building a massive farm and no one ended up winning both side gave up but they had a massive lead.
