hey guys! last week burned me out quite a bit, so I decided to keep things simple this week with another list of fantasy book recommendations! this list consists of books with that sort of indescribable ~fairy tale vibe~, which is one of my favorite fantasy subgenres.
let me know if you've read any of these books, and if so, what you thought of them! And if you have any other titles that fit this list, definitely let me know so I can check them out.
thanks for watching! :)

I can't believe I forgot to include The Salt Grows Heavy in this list!! It was one of my favorite recent reads, I sort of forgot it was technically a Little Mermaid retelling lol

it’s not fiction but i would highly recommend the book disfigured by amanda leduc if you’re drawn to fairy tales! it’s an essay collection that discusses fairy tale history and the intersections with disability history and studies as well. it is also written almost like a fairy tale in some ways and ah! it’s just so good.

Phantases by George Macdonald is also a really good one. It's also what helped to inspire C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.

Totally unrelated but what is it with people who are allergic to cats having cats?
@kelleyiswriting
@kelleyiswriting Жыл бұрын
Because cats are magical ✨🐈‍⬛ and the positives of a cat in the home clearly outweighs the negatives of an allergy. Some owners develop allergies after getting their pets (like me!) and I would never give up my cats just because I get a few sniffles around them. Of course, it obviously depends on the severity of the allergies, but if it's as common as your comment makes it seems, then the emotional support and compansionship of a cat is enough for the owner to deal with the allergies.
