These are all things that I made in the 80s. Back then, they were either expensive or not available yet. Thanks to Amazon, they can be bought extremely cheap. However, I like that someone is still keeping these ideas alive. In many places, it's not always possible to find these items so they have to be made. I would suggest that you use baking soda instead of sand. It makes a very strong bond. Helicopter mechanics use it to fill in small chips in rotor blades. Keep up the great work!

I think you meant baking Soda , as in bicarbonate of Soda.

I used a 5 gal bucket and lined the inside and outside of it with 1 1/2" PVC pipe spaced about 2" apart. It holds 21 spinning rod / reel combos. I attached each PVC tube to the bucket with zip ties. Works for me.

He should have used baking soda instead of sand. It makes a bond strong enough that helicopter mechanics use it to fix chips in rotor blades. Still, I doubt that a person's time and the cost of the glue is cheaper than getting one already made.
