Obviously the best thing to come out of the Percy Jackson movies was the Poker Face scene at the Lotus Casino. Clearly it's what the Poker Face music vid should've been. It's so much of an acid trip of a masterpiece that it belongs in the Louvre. The scene lives in my head rent-free
@VidtopiaEntertainment

Agreed it’s one of my favorite scenes in the movie, now whenever I see people get enthralled by Las Vegas type locations I always envision Poker Face playing in the background, like in The SpongeBob Movie Sponge on the Run when SpongeBob and Patrick arrive at Atlantic City (The SpongeBob version of the Lotus Casino apparently) and get entranced by everything I was expecting Poker Face to start playing but instead we got Livin La Vida Loca.

Although the acting is somewhat wooden, I actually like the casting, especially the main trio. Despite the age gap with their literary counterparts, I think they’re all pretty endearing. I kinda hope that they’ll be involved in the new Disney+ show in some way. They deserve better scripts.

@deh yes! I want this to happen. When I heard they were making a series, I was hoping, still am, that they would play their respective parent Gods. But I would also be fine if they made a little cameo, I would just prefer them to play their respective parent Gods. I would even like to see the actor who played Luke (can’t remember his real name) to play his parent God, Hermes.

I did like those moments that you listed, but I was expecting to see Percy seeing map lines on top of the water. In the books, they only say that Percy knows where they are, but they don’t explain how very well. Aside from that, the Sea of Monsters film was almost as bad as the cursed child .

I’m one of those that only heard of the story thx to the films 🎥. While the movies didn’t do so good, there were more parts I personally liked I can list. 1) Percy healing others through water that wasn’t in book. 2) The humor in the motel, “Guys, I can’t pee with her watching me”. 3) When they go to the Underworld, “What will u do! I’m already in Hell”. And 4) The cgi in both films was good too.

Here's a #8 for you: There is no way in Tartarus that Rick Riordan is EVER going to once again sign the same sort of rights deal that gives all the power and creative control over his intellectual property to a bunch of execs who didn't have to listen to his input. And who think they know better than the author. Thanks to the Peter Johnson movies, you KNOW that Rick is in the driver's seat for the upcoming "...and the Olympians" show.

Although these movies are absolutely atrocious adaptations, they are not bad as standalone movies. I really liked some parts like what they did with persephone’s pearls in the first movie. It gave the film direction and kept the characters moving from one place to another, unlike in the book where their only directions were “go west”.

I have some additional things that I liked about the movies 1. The Colchis Bull fight scene in Sea of Monsters. Despite how much the movie changed about the way the fight went down, I still think that the action was well was well directed and that the bull itself was well-animated. 2. Some of the jokes. While the jokes in the films are pretty hit-or-miss, you can't deny that lines like "this is a pen" and "those are working-class Americans" are comedy gold 🤣 3. Some of the actors. The main half-bloods were obviously way too old, but the gods and monsters were pretty well cast. Stanley Tucci was especially great as Dionysus, and Nathan Fillion gave a good performance as Hermes too. Ron Perlman wasn't bad as Polyphemus either. 4. The way Kronos is animated. Kronos appearing in the second movie was a pretty bad decision, but if it's any consolation, he was at least cool-looking. I did admittedly like the whole thing where he's slowly reassembling, and his legs disassemble when he raises them and reassemble when he lowers them

I really think the way camp half blood was made in the films was pretty cool, except from the lightning thief where there is a archery range next to the infirmary, I think archery is really cool but coming from both parents who studied nursing, I feel like it's a safety hazard, and I actually am disgusted on how they made Hades a bad guy in the films when he's one of the gods who never even caused harm in earth, I really want someone who makes a greek mythology movie where Hades isn't a horrible man, but I did enjoy the movie but it was before my mom got me the whole collection of Harry Potter books that did made me realize that there are differences in both books and movies, but I won't hold it against people who like the movies, cause it's their opinion not mine.

I saw the Lightening Thief long before I read the books, and yes, the books are way better, but separating the movies from the books, I enjoyed the Lightening Thief as a nice light movie. I haven't actually seen it since I read the books. It's funny, I thought Brom and Murtagh were the only characters close to the books in the Eragon movie. The mentor and the rival were done well in both bad movies, that's funny.

I have never read the books And honestly, my favorite Scene was in the second Film when Percy's Centeur-Half-Brother told His story about saying "Hi" to some Kids in the Woods while smiling and them running away in Terror. It was the only time in These movies that a Scene had brought geuine emotion out of me

I love how we're looking at (the most thinnest) silver lining for a very very dark cloud. And also it's one of Morgan's shortest videos

I will say, the book scenes that made me imagine Percy Jackson as a tv show or a movie were the flashbacks of Luke, Annabeth, Thalia, and eventually Grover. The second movie did a pretty good job with that, agreed.

Yeah the movies definitely got exposure, I still remember seeing the movie for the first time in a tv screen in a classroom in school, I thought it was ok, but the premise was cool, later I found from a friend that there were books and then I found out they were on my school library, the rest is history.
