Great video, Scott. You gave me a lot of good tips. I like the shortcuts for different views. The G for go is especially efficient. Before, I'd switch to a year view and then work back to a date. Also, I was unaware of the map option in the sidebar. Thank you for sharing.

Nice tips! I already knew some of them but I did learn some new. I will be definitely using the shortcut “G”, specially on the custom view. If you make your custom view “7 days” the default option is to show only today and the 6 following days, but sometimes I want to see the previous 2 days, today and 4 in the future. To do this I had a trick of modifying the URL to change the initial day of the view. The “G” shortcut will make it extremely easier.

Thanks for this. Learned some new tricks. However I still wish google would have incorporated the ability to zoom in and out vertically to focus on specific hours on the desktop version (like you can do os the OS version with pinch gestures) Especially if you have shorter events in a row or want to make edits an event length in 5-minute increments.

Love the videos. I have the google calendar widget on my phone but it only shows all day events. Is there a way to see upcoming events that are not all day? Thank you for your time and assistance.

Love your videos. I’ve learnt many new tricks. Is there a short key to open and close the main menu side panel. The three bars are hidden in some views, a short key would be useful.

Hi Scott, I joined your channel and really appreciate your work. maybe you can help me. I started using tasks for my projects because it transfers the various tasks to calendar when you enter a date. The problem is that tasks does not allow you to identify an execution time so it brings the data back to the date and time you indicated. I am therefore forced to generate an event directly on calendar to block the time needed to perform the task. do you know if there is another way to do it? Thank you Jari

Thanks for your question, Shelena. Google Calendar currently doesn't have a font adjustment option in its online calendar. If Google Calendar’s text is too small for you to read, you must adjust your Web browser settings. Internet browsers have a “zoom” option that allows you to increase the size of a Web page and its text.

Not that I know of. While there is a Year view in the dropdown, it really is for navigation purposes since it won't show any details.

Hi, thanks for the tricks. Is there a possibility to easy swap to subsribed calendars? let's say I'm subscribed to 5 calendar's, but it'st the one of the misses I need a shortcut for, so I do not need to click on 5 subscriptions before I can see that one only. Can you help me? Thanks

One thing I would LOVE in Google calendar, in week view, is to have it fixed on screen from say 7.00am to 8.00pm, without having to scroll up or down. Know what I mean? In one view, without scrolling for the day or whatever you set it to. Any ideas?

No one ever mentions what happens to your calendar when travelling. Do I pre-program events for the destination I’m going to at the correct local time and when I get there, will the time be accurate? So does the change in time zone keep the event time accurate? Or does it mess it up?

Google Calendar does not have an option to show this on the mini side panel calendar. You would need to change to the month view in order to see this.

Hi, Scott. Thanks! My wife is an estate agent. Her physical diary is of supreme importance to her. She cannot increase the risk of losing her physical diary data by switching over to Google Calendar. Can you please create a down to earth video on the pro's and con's of migrating to Calendar? For instance, there's the cloud (Google Drive). Can she store her diary data in Drive? And with reasonable safety? She uses a Samsung mobile. I know that Google Calendar remains very useful as a mobile app, and of course can sync with your other devices.

Google calendar in GSuite doesn't have Google maps in the side panel. My free gmail calendar does. That's a useful function so not sure why they wouldn't offer in a paid account. Bummer!

Yes, within Google Calendar this is called the Schedule view. In the top right hand corner, you can change it from Daily, Weekly, etc. to Schedule which will give you a list view.

When adding or editing a calendar entry, I wish there was a way to easily search for a timezone by name (eg London, Los Angeles) rather than having to scroll through the timezone listing. Currently you have to know how many hours from GMT a place is in order to find it.
