7 GRILLING HACKS YOU NEED TO KNOW this summer! ☀️👩🏻🍳 🍔
1. Clean your grill with an onion instead of a metal brush. Turn the grill on high heat. Slice an onion in half (no need to remove the skin but you can if you want), pierce it with a grilling fork and rub the grill grates all over. The old food particles will come right off and it smells good too!
2. Tired of dried out burgers? I learned this tip online many years ago and it works every time. Just press an ice cube into each patty. The ice cube will gradually melt and you will be left with perfectly juicy hamburgers! You can also do this with bouillon ice cubes, but I usually never remember to freeze them beforehand!
3. Want extra juicy chicken breasts? Make a salt brine. Soak your chicken breasts in 1 cup kosher salt and 4 cups water for 30 minutes. Rinse then season as usual.
4. Make your grill non-stick with a potato! Cut a potato in half, pierce it with a grilling form and rub the grill grates all over. This tip is especially helpful when cooking lean meats like chicken breast.
5. Prevent your wooden sticks from burning! Just soak them in water for 30 minutes and you are good to go-no more charred sticks that break.
6. Skewer your hot dogs so you can flip them all at once! No more flipping hot dogs one at a time.
7. And when it comes to FISH, add lemon or orange slices to the grill and place the fish on top. This adds so much flavor and the fish won’t stick to the grill.
