Most players will make several mistakes along the way on the Road to Damascus camo and hopefully these tips will save them several hours on the grind. I provide tips for Gold Launchers, Gold Shield, Gold Combat Knife, easy Longshots, Crouch Kills, Mounted Kills, and other challenges that have incorrect descriptions. What people will never understand is the damascus grind before shipment. You have to be grateful now

To be fair there were also alot of bugs, and as long as you were aware of these you could exploit them. Being able to knock out a whole camo category for a launcher in just a game or two of ground war cuts a redicilous amount of time

too bad shoot the ship and other game modes arent there all the time. playing this fast paced small game modes where you get 40 kills a match are a godsend when grinding any challenges and camos thats for sure

dude I felt the "not caring about your stats" part... Since I started the grind I went from a 1.4 KD to like a .90.... it hurts... Granted I'm not amazing at the game but I was at least postiive, WAS

Yeah I was above 2.0 and the shield dropped it to 1.75. Knife was not too bad.

I just started last week playing MW and went right into grinding to damascus im at a .98 k/d, the way i see it after i complete damascus then i will grind for high kd with my favorite class setups.

Personally I just have problems with the longshot kills. Edit: Boys after many months of playing this game, I’m 3 launchers away from unlocking Damascus, I appreciate all your helpful tips, they really did come in handy. Thanks guys!

I was a siege player for 2 years and eventually moved on and I can say my aim definitely has skyrocketed in this game, just the reaction time you need as well also has helped.

Ben Verder Niks another mistake, ram 7 is my main gun now, and I already had it gold. So I decided to grind and get plat ars, come to find out, it’s bugged and you can’t even get the ram platinum rn. Like wth, when’s it gonna get fixed lol it’s been a month already

@@crandy753 mounted and long shots can be done at the same time. Just mount the back wall on shoothouse with a thermal scope and throw smoke grenades. Launcher i recomend always using cold blooded and spotter. Makes it easier to see enemy streaks.

Double weapon XP is CLUTCH. Last time we had it, i was able to max out every smg, and now i have platinum smgs. I wouldn't even be close to finishing them without double weapon XP or shipment lobbies

Niche honestly man, goodluck. I did it in 6 days in game time, but only because I had shoot the ship and double weapon xp available to me. The grind is long, but the hate / praise people give you in game is so worth it. Feels great to be the only one with Damascus in every 30 or so lobbies. Makes you stand out.

I think the grind this year is not worth it. For the average player I don't think it's especially hard but just REALLY time consuming. Trying to balance the time with personal life and other things is just impossible. Maybe grinding Platinum for some weapon categories you like to use or just gold on some of your favorite weapons is reasonable.

BLK VNM for me, both are useful Shoothouse: Longshots Shipment: All other challenges Got Platinum for my pistols in 3 days. I work quite a lot as well.

Play domination or Hardpoint - Shoothouse I found to be a good map for that, also Backlot is pretty good as well, lots of corners and walls to mount.

There's a spot at Rust I can't really explain it. But You basically mount at the tunnel container near the corner of the pipeline tower. Mount there pointing towards the red structures/area. You should be seeing under the vent stair that goes toward the third floor of the middle structure to the other side of the red area. Where people most of the time spawn. Your gonna have to figure it out. You get both Longshots and Mounted.

you can dashboard when the game is about to end even if you went 10x negative. It gives your progression but neither the kills nor the deaths, so you're pretty much ground zero with challenges unlocked

I recently unlocked Damascus and I wanted to share the way I did it because I feel like I did it in one of if not the most efficient way(s). So I took all the ranged weapons that required long shots, so the Ars, Smgs, Lmgs, Marksman rifles, and snipers, and I went and upgraded each weapon and got the long shot challenge ONLY done for that weapon and then I moved on to another weapon. (Mind you it was shoot house 24/7 and there was 2xp so it was much easier) I didn’t do the pistols and shotties because long shots with those are extremely easy, after that I just went back and completed the rest of the challenges for those weapons which took little to no time at all. So my tip would be to upgrade EVERY weapon first so that you get that out of the way and do the launchers simultaneously as you’re completing other challenges, don’t be like me and have every weapon done and now your sitting in the back of your spawn with a PILA going 6-39. I hope this helps someone

Finished the shottys, snipers/marksman rifles, smgs. Now I'm working on the LMGs, got most of the mounted/ crouch/ no/with attachments kills done, waiting for shoothouse 24/7 so I can get the longshots done. Man this grind is longgggg.

Strela-p can hit UAVs but you need to aim at the top of the UAV and a lttle in front of it

I might not even go for Damascus tbh. Only reason I got Dark Matter in BO4 was because there was like one launcher lol. I never really use launchers, so it's much harder to adapt to that weapon category than it is to use a combat knife or riot shield.

Very well explained. It took me 4 days to get all my ARs platinum. Key to it is max each gun out and then go threw and finish up camos. With that being said don't think I sit and play for hours. I'm a father of 2 and only play about 4 hours a day after work. Due to the fact that I only work 5 hours a day bit get paid for 40 hours a week. I still have a life. Great video tutorial. 👍🏼

Great tips! The camo grind is sooo long for each gun. Ive been playing since launch and only have 5 or 6 gold guns so far. Im a casual player that plays maybe 2 hours a day when i play.

A very easy method for mounted and Longshots is peeking mid in shoothouse in the spawns. I max out my Longshot mounted kills in 2-3 games

for anyone watching this while reinfected ground war is running, you can get a ton of knife kills as a SURVIVOR on Tavorsk District (the skyscrapers map). Sit at the top of a popular elevator, crouch, and knife zombies as they come up. I finished off my crouch kills like that.

at first i wanted my dmrs plat, took me a few hours to get them gold ( shipment op) when i finally did it said i need snipers gold too, so within a day i got plat for those guns. prolly took 6 hours, pretty disappointed with plat but on the kar it looks sick. regardless after this grind i never went for camos again cuz it’s not worth it. besides snipers i have 1 ar gold, don’t think i’ll ever go for more unless i love the gun

Challenges like these in cod Is why I never look at my kd because I know its irrelevant it doesn't tell me anything because I know alot of deaths are from playing shipment over n over for challenges

Kills while injured (or at 10 health or less) can be tracked by the grey tint around your screen. Red or bloody screens do not count.

This is my first year grinding for a mastery camo. Honestly my stats have continued to steadily go up during my grind. I'm at 2.67 rn. Now during quarantine I'll definately be able to get it. I'll be sure to add launchers as secondaries for all my classes now👍🏼

I’m at 8 days and I only need 4 AR’s that need long shots. I’m grinding because I want the tacticolor jar with Damascus it looks sick. But yeah pretty time consuming grind. Most fun was the knife, least fun was the shield. Ironic how they’re in the same category yet we’re on the opposite spectrums of fun for me doing this grind.

I'm really happy to hear how you get the stripes on launchers, i did notice there was no improving, so now i know that the cold blooded perk is needed. On most weapons i really like the damascus, some say it's not worth it. But on the other hand i think it's worth it, because you master each weapon. So you can play in different styles each time. I even make for each weapons 3/4 setups. For close range, mid range, far range, mobility and so on. Great video!

You can do literally everything but long shots for most anything in shipment. Hop over to shoot house playlist and mount on back wall. Usually you can end the match with 15-20 long shots. I grinded out 2 snipers in a couple of hours by putting a 3x scope on them and playing in shipment.

@@basilciccone1679 In the SW corner (Courtyard), on top of the concrete box culvert, you can longshot down the entire South side to the SE corner (Shantytown), and vice-versa. Also, for some guns (SMG, pistol) you can get longshots from the NE corner (Back Alley) to the office, window or ground-level, but fully exposed. Rifles possible but very situational. And of course vice-versa again.

Grind for this camo is definitely not worth the time. The camo is wack. Gold looks way better than Damascus. I will probably stop at platinum for smg’s, ar’s and lmg’s.

The only time I’ve ever gotten the highest mastery camo was on Black Ops 3, which was dreadful. But Modern Warfare has definitely been more dreadful, which luckily, all I need are 3 LMGs and 6 ARs until I got Damascus.

Thank you for your video. Quick question. If I want to unlock the next cammo after gold I need to unlock gold for all weapons in the class. If a new weapon comes out for that class like the new FiNN LMG, does that mean now I have to get gold on that one too? Note: I don't have gold on all of them yet.

Sorry I know this is an old comment but I'm pretty much in the same situation. I'm a couple of guns short of platinum for everything... except launchers which I've barely touched. I'm wondering if I should just give up on Damascus now. Did the launchers take you long? Do you still have a soul?

@@chiconico. my bad, didn’t get the notification until now! The launchers themselves took me a couple weeks, and Damascus is definitely worth it! I don’t use any other camo now (besides platinum on a couple guns) You can do it, I believe in you 😊 The launchers did kinda make me wanna kms, but the only really bad challenge was probably shooting killstreaks down with the RPG

i wont be going for Damascus. I just got gold on the MP5, AK47, HDR. I love how gold looks in the game. I may just use grind for gold on weapons I use on ground war.

I've been just a run and gun player ever since COD 4, but the first weapons I unlocked the gold camos for were the snipers lol Shoot House is great for longshots, mounted kills, and streaks.

Do the attachment with " range " affect longshots , for every weapon I usually start with nothing and then add them one at the time , exp shoot house HC KC with no attachment to help at range was hitting longshots at +/- 40m with the kilo after with the BR class in HC DOM from the same spots or slightly further I wasn't getting the longshots, is the content/data from 5-8 months ( ace , you, others ) still the same or did it change , thx in advance to whom for the reply
